Spoiler: | How do you gain a squad member's loyalty? I just freed up Jack and still haven't gotten the option to gain any loyalties.
Also where can I find the FBA couplings and the chefs ingredients? |

A mission after you get the member, they'll want to talk to you and ask you to do something for them. |
But try not to act all desperate... make them beg for your help!!! Or they won't respect you!!

True, but those crisis moments for example required relatively high levels of renegade or paragon points. I was just short a few points to resolve the conflict immediately. But luckily had a 3 points for paragon/renegade boost, so I came back right after and sorted it out.
Edit: But overall yeah, the game makes it really simple to make a right choice in many situations, something I don't entirely like. Ending would have more impact if you for example thought you tried your best, and yet still failed in some areas in the end. But something like that is not easy to do I'd gather, in terms of game design.

That's not necessarily true. For example, in the Zaeed mission, Spoiler: | you can either chase the man he's after or save some people. If you choose to save the people, the guy escapes, and unless you have high paragon, you will not be able to make him loyal. |

Oh really? It was my 2nd playthrough so I just hacked my paragon points. I thought it was strange that he was loyal no matter what I did haha

ME2 really lacked those heavier "either this or that with no way around it" choices ME1 had, despite being a darker game. Somewhat strange actually.

Doesn't seem plausible, I finished insanity, and there was no rifle. I was basically checking every corner as well, finished in 48 hours.
I finished most of the game without the DLC pack though, but tali's mission was post DLC update.

Are the levels just as boring (or worse) than ME1? Corridors filled with crates? Might be worth downloading if they've done someting about it + if they've fixed the team AI (which was some of the worst ever).

I think it's done to keep it all light. Casual gamers do not like life or death choices, they want to see everything in one go. If there is any influence, it's very light. I saved and loaded a couple of situations, in the end your choices mean nothing. This can also be seen with the hacking mini-games, they're piss easy.
I like the game, it's keeping me entertained. I also think the sum of all parts is better than ME1, but the small challenge ME1 had and the effect of your choices is lost completely. This game would've been great if they didn't drop the best, though slightly faulty parts, of ME1. Now it's a simple yet good action game. Instead of making ME1 better, Bioware simply dropped most of teh things that could cause a headache for the studio. Sadly, some of the things dropped were what made ME great.

Nope, the only problem I have are the flikering shadows, a known UE3 problem and I don't how to fix it.
(I mean, the fixes are: "Disable Dynamic Shadows and play"... and I WANT the shadows, what I don't want is the flickering xD)

This is the only info I've got. Strange thing is, when I did the quest, I looked everywhere but didn't find it... |
I didn't see a geth pulse rifle on the Tali mission. hrmmm. I got that collector beam weapon on the Horizon mission though.

I went Adept (huge mistake), and took sniper rifle as my new weapon (collector ship). Went mostly with garrus and mordin, had reave as extra ability.
It was hard at some places. Krogan especially, you need to micro your team heavily, or they keep dying on you... every second.

The original trailers for ME2 showed Shepard as KIA, and a Geth wearing his N7 uniform. This lead to massive speculation about whether or not he was alive or dead - and BioWare themselves said it's possible.
Don't worry, you'll find out within 10mins of playing ME2 (and you'll LOVE it too! Storyline is incredible, just be warned; it has far less RPG/exploration aspects than the first game - it's a shooter now)

Adept in insanity, you're crazy
Warp spam much ?
But well done, the final encounter Spoiler: | Human Reaper | is really harder or it's almost the same on insanity ?

If you're playing on hardcore or insanity it's on the way to tali's location, not at her location.

Hmm, but can't you change the difficulty at any point in the game? It seems odd to lock out weapons that way. Also, is that Geth rifle part of one of the DLCs, or is it supposed to be in the game from the start?

There are still crates and corridors.
But there are no more recycled levels as before. All levels and unique, including minor missions. No more using 3-4 same levels for everything outside main story.

It's like this game isn't a Bioware game at all, namely the quests they truly and utterly suck! Get fish?! Get credit chit?! How'd you solve that one you ask well let me spoil it for you, first you talk to the cop and the two aliens, one accusing the other of stealing his credit chit, then you go to the store where the credit was lost and the owner says he found it, then you go back and tell him you found it and that's it, quest solved!
What teh hell happened with quests from ME1, those at the citadel were actually good, not to mention bloody KOTOR sad Bioware, just sad, now you are making quests for 2 year-olds, fuck 2 year olds even a monkey can solve these quests.
Of all the shit this is my biggest beef with the game, that and the way menus are handled (with upgrades, research, items).
Verdict: a disappointing 6/10.
