* Deep Silver
* Modern Action Adventure
* ESRB: Mature
Set in the late 1980s, gamers take on the role of a
fearless mountaineer as he climbs into the Himalayas on a
quest to find his lost brother. As he ascends the
mountain, he encounters an ancient curse: the souls of the
people who died in that region are stuck in limbo, caught
in the Shadow World. Villagers, pilgrims, mountaineers and
Buddhist monks dead but not yet reincarnated are all
that is left on the mountain. Terrible visions will
disorient him, and ghosts and demons block his path. But
the question remains is his brother still alive
Designed exclusively for Wii, Cursed Mountain features
rich visuals and breathtaking views set on the roof of
the world in the life threatening death zone, the entire
game world is visible from every level.

I was going to check this out when I saw the PC version magically appear earlier today (seriously, what the hell? "Wii exclusive!! Made specifically for the Wii!!" then, out the blue, there's a PC release!) but after watching a few gameplay vids; I decided against it.
It looks horrible, and not just graphics either - gameplay too. Poor man's Silent Hill or Fatal Frame.

This had some really odd compression on it, download is 6 GB, DVD is 8 GB once unpacked, content on DVD (When extracting the DVD, normal ISO.) is 12 GB, haha.

Well, it is kinda lame actually. Reminds me of Dead Space (which I thought was lame) and this other game, where you play someone on the sea and this deep sea station with all the mutants...its kinda ..... soulless.

Different and interesting kinda game once you set your 360 pad with Xpadder.
Not a A++ title but interesting enough to while away the time till BC2.

I'm at chapter 3 and wonder if this game get any more interesting because right now it's really, really boring. The character move so slow that I'm wondering if it's a bug, the walking animation seems incomplete or the guy really walk like a jerk. Textures are low quality, color palette is small and centered around gray/brown. I killed over 30 ghosts doing that connect the points with the mouse cursor crap thing and judging from some youtube video it seems like it will be the only weapon/monster combination for the whole game! I can't stand this any longer.
There's a part in the village with a log and some axe in it, with wood chips around, no trace of blood at all. I inspect it, and the character say "They are obviously not vegetarians". Hmmm wtf?
If only there would be some sort of advancement to the story or at least some puzzle to do (and not just look around with that "six sense" active) it could retain my attention, but it's really just composed of "wait for the player to 'run' somewhere; kill ghost; check with sense and do the point thing; repeat"
I really wonder why it takes 8gb, it could have fitted in less than 300mb. Yeah, I'm deleting it now..

Epsilon: Game is great btw, I love it, so far it's a definite goty. It's remarkable how much has changed since the beta, stardock have been working their asses off, and it shows.
