Damn, just finished the game, everyone survived on first try. Overall, I'd say I really enjoyed it, and I was quite surprised to see how the new "dumbed down" elements fit together. It was actually a pleasant surprise. Hell, I'd say I even liked the game as a whole better then ME1. Thumbs up for more diversity in side quests, and characters who I actually cared about. Only 2 minor complaints:
Spoiler: |
1. Last boss was a wuss. I mean, I don't recall losing my shields even once. And I played on Hardcore from the start. Not to mention I didn't run out of ammo for even one weapon.
2. no Samara romance. Damn, at one point I actually though it was possible, but then it ended with her walking out of the room after Shep almost kissing her. Quite sad. Even though Miranda is a hot piece of ass, she was the good old boring Bioware main heroine, and pretty much a ctrl+c ctrl+v of Ashley. So in the end I just chose to 'technically' stay faithful to Liara. Next playthrough though, I'll need to check out Tali, that has to be interesting |
Anyway, is there's any benefit of playing the game again with the same character? Any new missions? New challenges? More importantly, do enemies scale to your level? Playing this on hardcore was easy enough, doubt insanity would pose a greater challenge.

Thanks brah, but damn. Since I couldn't install ME2 off the discs/images on my computer for some reason, I had to install it on another computer and copy the folder over to my computer. So I don't have any registry entries for the game, and this file and some other DLC pack both say they can't locate my ME2 directory. QQQQQQ

Anyone here has managed to run console?
I've found Coalesced.ini and there is TILDE, but is not working.
I've found info to remap it, I've tried to F11, but game crashes, ok, changed to "F11" and game starts but is still not working.
Ideas?
That's how it looks like:
[Engine.Console]
ConsoleKey=Tilde
TypeKey=Tab
MaxScrollbackSize=1024
HistoryBot=-1

Noone knows how to open the console. Either Bioware disabled it in this one, or there's just some unkown way ot do it.

Yup, just did all that. The DLC's are workin' like a charm. But too bad all the DLC armor has un-removable helmets, otherwise I would've used them.

Or you could just make a shortcut that makes it run on an certain core (and priority)?

Nope. The idea is not to have the game run on one core, it is to set it one one core for a moment, then set it back to two cores for maximum performance.
Quote: | More than a few smart people figured out it had to do with the game’s processor affinity. Simply setting it to one core and then back to two cores fixed the problem. |

I read somewhere that after the main game is complete, you can break up with people and romance the others, but still you can call them to your room from one of the PCs?

Kind of wondering about the last sequence of missions, there seems to be a lot of combinations Spoiler: | Can you put Legion in charge of a squad for ex. how will that turn out if he is loyal or put him in charge of the tech mission, can Grunt or the assasin lead a squad the possibilities.. I played it safe of course, Tali&Miranda for tech and squad |
How did you play the finale?

I had Garrus for both second squads. I know people have put Mordin and also have everyone survive (as long as loyal, of course)

Spoiler: |
Tali to open the doors.
Miranda to lead the 2nd team.
Samara to create a biotic shield.
Mordin to lead the crew back to Normandy.
Miranda to lead the fire team.
Grunt to hold the door.
Create your own team for the final push (I chose Legion and Garrus)
|
^^ That's a guaranteed win. There are other variations, but the above is guaranteed.

Yeah I forgot about the biotic thingy, I suppose Jack&Miranda can do it as well, I had Samara.

Miranda can't do it, she's not strong enough and Jack is hit'n'miss. Sometimes she falters and lets the shield down, getting someone killed, and Miranda has a greater chance of faltering. I know Jack *can* do it, but it's not like 50/50 (at least, not from what I've seen and heard)
