Damn, just finished the game, everyone survived on first try. Overall, I'd say I really enjoyed it, and I was quite surprised to see how the new "dumbed down" elements fit together. It was actually a pleasant surprise. Hell, I'd say I even liked the game as a whole better then ME1. Thumbs up for more diversity in side quests, and characters who I actually cared about. Only 2 minor complaints:

 Spoiler:

Anyway, is there's any benefit of playing the game again with the same character? Any new missions? New challenges? More importantly, do enemies scale to your level? Playing this on hardcore was easy enough, doubt insanity would pose a greater challenge.

For those tired of alt tabbing to change affinity EVERY FRICKIN TIME:
http://www.playwrite-blog.net/tools-and-utilities/auto-set-processor-affinity-for-mass-effect-2-pc-with-massaffinity-fix-those-load-times/

I'm guessing the program probably won't work if you've renamed the masseffect2.exe to UT3.exe or something.

Thanks brah, but damn. Since I couldn't install ME2 off the discs/images on my computer for some reason, I had to install it on another computer and copy the folder over to my computer. So I don't have any registry entries for the game, and this file and some other DLC pack both say they can't locate my ME2 directory. QQQQQQ

Anyone here has managed to run console?
I've found Coalesced.ini and there is TILDE, but is not working.
I've found info to remap it, I've tried to F11, but game crashes, ok, changed to "F11" and game starts but is still not working.
Ideas?

That's how it looks like:
[Engine.Console]
ConsoleKey=Tilde
TypeKey=Tab
MaxScrollbackSize=1024
HistoryBot=-1

Extract the reg entries from the other PC and import them to the other (and change as needed, the folders etc.)

Noone knows how to open the console. Either Bioware disabled it in this one, or there's just some unkown way ot do it.

Yup, just did all that. The DLC's are workin' like a charm. But too bad all the DLC armor has un-removable helmets, otherwise I would've used them.

Or you could just make a shortcut that makes it run on an certain core (and priority)?

Nope. The idea is not to have the game run on one core, it is to set it one one core for a moment, then set it back to two cores for maximum performance.

Quote:
More than a few smart people figured out it had to do with the game’s processor affinity. Simply setting it to one core and then back to two cores fixed the problem.

i've beaten this game twice. 1st time as female adept normal difficulty, picking mostly paragon choices. i lost three squad members at the end. i boned morinth and kelly. Wink this one i clocked in at around 34 hours.

on my 2nd playthrough i went with male soldier insanity difficulty, picking mostly renegade choices. no one died at the end this time around. i boned jack, miranda, and tali. Wink this one i clocked in at around 25 hours (skipped most of the dialogs/cutscenes).

anyway, awesome game. i still have about 4 achievements left to unlock. i think the 4 major hubs are a bit small. there's not much to do planet wise after you completed all missions other than dropping probes. it would be cool if they made several planets with infinite hostiles. like you could go to planet x to fight infinite army of krogans or planet y to fight infinite army of geths. Very Happy

How do you manage to consummate a romance with several people in one playthrough? With me they always say they won't be shared, making me choose just one.

I read somewhere that after the main game is complete, you can break up with people and romance the others, but still you can call them to your room from one of the PCs? Confused

I ended the relationship with Jack (Started with Miranda instead, might end her to and go for Tali to have all three finished before ending it with her as well.) but all she does is "fuck off" whenever clicked on so she's kinda useless now. Very Happy

Miranda can't do it, she's not strong enough and Jack is hit'n'miss. Sometimes she falters and lets the shield down, getting someone killed, and Miranda has a greater chance of faltering. I know Jack *can* do it, but it's not like 50/50 (at least, not from what I've seen and heard)

I always picked Jack as the biotic and she always came through (always being the 4 times that I've played the final mission ).
