ME2 is consolified shit, choices hardly have any weight to them and the whole game is surrounded by the typical Bioware closed in box environment with pretty surroundings in which you can barely interact with. Oh look this chick has hot tits and a little slit on her unifrom between her legs, quick 15 year olds boner time, fuck the gameplay. Here are some more choices that mean nothing to distract you.

Looks like the way you think works both ways.

ME 2 is not consolified shit, you are just an empty headed idiot who doesn't see the true glory of the game.

Yes i am , im afraid it may play like a dream but if you think the MAJORITY of game buyers will put story over visuals you are mistaken. The console arena has changed many things and its impact on pc gaming is more than obvious , i hate to say it but its true.

Yea but the STALKER series were never meant to the MAJORITY of game buyers.
Sure, GSC added some stuff in Clear Sky like faction wars and the upgrade system but the core of the game remained pretty much unchanged. And CoP is even closer to home(Shadow of Chernobyl) in most regards, so it's not like they're trying to reach a new "audience".

I thought this was gonna be "special". All the fans here were saying how it combines the best of the previous games. Right now I have all 3 STALKER games installed and I don't want to play any of them. Crying or Very sad

The gfx are so bland ... I will give the game another chance, but to even compare it to a perfected AAA title like ME2 is : Laughing

It's been a long time since I've finished this, but I think that to the north of your position there's a railroad track displayed on the map. Near the lower end of it there should be a small station where you can take shelter, but you'll have to sprint your brains out to get there.

It's the closest shelter I can remember ATM.

Good rebuttal, an insult. Typical.

Sorry that a game doesn't give me a boner, but face the fact it's a dumbed down piece of shit. You can play it from the start and pull headshots from big distances straight away, every single other thing has been nerfed, and the original game in the first place was console trash. Wow, it has 'Bioware' attached to it, it must be good.

People like you who accept this trash as not being consolified shit are the reason it exists in the first place. Compare it to any classic Bioware game and ME2 is clearly the steaming turd, I could give two shits how good the graphics make it look.

Obviously your definition of a "fine" game is different to most peoples, hence the PC gaming industries dwindling sales. Some people will play with shit just because its there.

Definitions of fine on the Web:

It's a Stalker game it is exactly what I expected it to be which is a Stalker game. The fact that this one doesn't crash randomly or seem to have as many bugs as it's predecessors puts it on top. If people were happy paying for crappy products then PC game sales should be increasing and not decreasing as you say they are. Naturally you don't provide any evidence to support you claims. Those in the business of making quality PC titles are selling plenty of copies of their games. If there is any decline in PC gaming it's been the vast move of shit titles you speak of to consoles. Console kids seem happy to buy shit just because it's there.

When you're playing the new 'Splinter Cell' game and questioning why it's shit, like every other mutliplatform piece of crap, you've got yourselves to blame. You can try and sound clever all you like, you put forward no arguments and most likely house the mental capacity of a housefly with the attention span of a brick.

Least you guys can play the game, Every COP related release has never worked on this system. Same damn HANG at the LOGO screen (very first thing you see on screen). No error no nothing, just a long long wait of nothingness. Kinda annoying as all other software works on this PC.

Wondering if anyone ever had such a weird issue.

And you keep insulting people who like games that you don't. So who has the mental capacity of a housefly? You don't like the game (sounds like you don't appreciate or enjoy ANY recent game) and that's just fine and peachy... why not leave people alone that DO like them? The thing is mate, people have put forward arguments - but you disregard them and complain instead.

It doesn't matter, we all like what we like and no amount of arguing on the internet is going to change that. So just play what you want and leave others to do the same ^_^

As far as CoP is concerned, I definitely rate it as the best one yet. It has the best mix of the first two games. I'll admit the graphics DO seem considerably lower than those in Clear Sky, but hey - I'd rather that and have smooth, consistent, gameplay than a chugging and crashing and unoptimised mess.

I tried this, got as far as the first town and uninstalled. Not to say it's a bad game, I even bought the first game. I just haven't got the patience to wander around with little direction exploring.
It's a shame because when people describe moments they have had in the game they make it sound great. The only great moments I had in the original game were dying again for the 50th time by another unseen aggresive stalker. Sad

I actually banned you earlier when you had a different name, you got 19 posts under that name. Back then your attitude was also the problem, so I suggest you think a little bit about that the next 24 hours.

You start off with a simple objective of checking the crashed helicopters and you can branch off and do your own thing if you want. To say there is little direction is a bit misleading because you are told where your initial objective are. Talk to people ask them for information and do the odd side quests. You uninstalled at the first town which says to me you never planned to give the game a good run. You can get to that town in under a minute after all.

On another note I'd recommend playing this game with the S.M.R.T.E.R .41 mod it's some 200mb and it greatly improves a lot of stuff in the game, including some textures and models.
It's on stalkerfiles.

In addition to the smartr mod (which is really good), you should also install the Atmosfear 1.2 mod, it enhances the gfx quite a bit (make the optional cfg change described in the readme).

Altough a little rough around the edges, i really like the game so far. Just got a nice silenced and scoped assault rifle from some guy, its really fun.

If you were a long time lurker then you would know the nick Sabin1981 which would also lead you to know that as with many others some members opinions are generally respected by most due to time and input they provide.

This game and AVP3 ( so not just THIS game ) are 2 recent titles that i have said i dont like , thats my opinion and i am entitled to it as are you to yours and everyone is of course allowed to voice that opinion on these open forums. I merely stated that the visual aspect of this game is lacking when compared to other games of its "generation" and unfortunately it is , im not arguing about story arcs or other content merely that it does in fact look dated when compared to other recent titles and that many people DO buy their games based on the first glance ie the graphics. These developers dont want your adoration they want your money and to get that they have to keep providing uptodate games , personally i dont think this is , but i am still playing through it as graphics are secondary to me , although ME2 did an amzing job ( i couldnt get to grips with ME1 ) and i am hoping the same goes for Bioshock 2.
