Master Protector FOR THE MOTHERFUCKING LOSE!

God damn that achievement... it took me nine times (Bueller... Bueller.... Bueller... Bueller....) before I finally got it, there was always some punk ass MF splicer that winged me with a single, lucky, shot.

I couldn't activate AA with nHancer (I've tried all compatibility modes) in my 9800GT (196.21), even using DirectX9.0 on XP SP3. Any ideas?

Is this the normal DirectX9.0 high settings? Unfortunatelly I have to use a small LCD monitor for now, so 1024x768 is the native resolution.

I think there's something wrong, because the first one looks aeons better running on my system:

Like it a lot so far , as others have said some of the textures are a bit low but i can live with that as overall i like the overall look and feel of the game.
Ive somehow managed to loose the direction arrow at the top of the screen , dont know if its the game of ive pressed something lol.
It looks like ill have ti reinstall part one along with ME1 and replay them , uninstalled ME1 but ill give it another go now and Bioshock one took me a few play false starts before i actually finished it.
Cant believe its only february and ive already got 2 games that for me have instant replay value , fingers crossed that this is a good year for PC gaming.

I have to say, the multiplayer is a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Too bad they didn't use a better system and have dedicated servers. It's pretty damn chaotic and entertaining though.

Seems they'll be looking into the widescreen fuckup (AGAIN) soon:

Quote:
Hey guys,

I am compiling a complete list with a nifty screenshot for you, but in short: Yes, there's a problem, yes, a fix is on the way, yes the view will expand horizontally for you widescreen gamers.

I wanted to let you know as soon as I could - so stay tuned for the details.

http://forums.2kgames.com/forums/showpost.php?p=636751&postcount=56

And a little gem from that thread:
Quote:
I think that FPS game code is written in 4:3 for whatever reason, and then widescreen has to be added later. It is a problem.

I've been playing for a good while as well and it helps if you try to imagine that you're playing Bioshock1 - made in 2005 - and it was never released until now. This might help you psychologically as far as accepting the graphics and just getting on with it. I would be seriously digging this game right now if the graphics were nearer to Bioshock. This game doesn't even come close to the beautiful, rich scenery of the first game that just totally immersed you into the world. So I have convinced myself that I already played Bioshock2 in 2007 - Hey even the story-line works out to this same conclusion (and the graphics - did I mention those already?). Any other believers?

Your mind is deceiving you. Very likely the gfx in bioshock 2 are the same as 1 BUT 4 years have passed during which you have seen better gfx in other games (higher resolution, aa, etc) so bioshock gfx are no longer so awesome even though your mind remembers they were great at the time you played it.

I can tell you that when I think back to the amiga days, I remember how awesome the gfx were in this or that game. I clearly remember it. What would I think if I played those games now?

They could disable his Windows' hdd-install capability and the windows firewall would block online access Cool Face

hello falks!

Well, the game is running just fine, after the first menu the one, who show the option new game.
After the loading, with the first intro is coming, the one who show 1958 bla bla, the game starts to stuttering, after that everithing is ok.

When, per example, i push esc to go to the menu, the game starts to stutter, like it was a hugeeee lag.
The same happens, when i have to buy something, the same lag/stutter

Xp sp3
3700+@2.66
2gb
hd2400pro 256mb
msi k8n-sli
Onboard audio real tek ac97
Ati catalist 9.12

Any one else is getting the same problem ?

Maybe it's a bik video problem. I'm saying this because as I was renaming some bik files, the menu background disappeared. I think that background is a bik video.

So, you know ... codec problem probably (?)

EDIT: What happens if you rename : \BinkMovies\Dev_Logo_PC.bik

Really liking the capture the sister gamemode in mp , as you either defend or attack which is not the same as capture the flag mode.

You was correct, but the file is wrong

The bik file is cousing this is waterfall.bik, i renamed to .txt and now the menu runs smooth, on the menu at least

Now i will check if in the "buy menu" it go fixed

because, there it was a stutter, again and even on intros :S damn the bik files!
