man, these "spider slicers" drive me crazy. died about 5 times when my little sister was harvesting and they attacked from all sides, killing so quickly, you cant shoot as fast as they move...
the attack range from the leadhead slicers with guns is also insane. they can hit you so accurate from a range you almost cant see them, from ledges, through holes ... as much as I like the game its far more difficult than the first one, I think (on "normal" without vita chambers).
But its very motivating, I have to admit - a real challange Cool

started to play MP now,for anyone here it feels similar to Warcraft 3 and Super Heroes Mod for CS?
for me it is,you are leveling up,gain more powers and weapons and abilities. I remember years ago I was addicted to warcraft 3 TFT mod on CS,was a blast to play. the MP is fun,but I think it will only keep me up until I will get my SC2 beta Key,I'm tired of MW2,time to try something new.

edit:

Anyone have any probs with gfx corruption in the game? lines and polygon flashing sometimes. I am using catalyst 10.2 drivers, 4870x2, and vista 64bit. I don't recall having this corruption before installing catalyst 10.2, but I also only played for brief time when game was first released.

Yeah, I'd like to play as one of the splicers. So I can go around in a closed area, then after 2-3 hours someone comes through some door shocks me and blasts me away, then takes my dollars, booze and music player.

Yeah not as good as the first one but was kinda expecting that, not sure why, unlike the movies game sequels are usually better.

The problem is that they didn't change anything in the game. The feeling was exactly like in the first one but without the excitement of exploring something new.

Doubt they will manage to do anything better in the third game.

For some reason I liked sequel more than the original, probably due to better gameplay (use of plasmids while wearing guns) better ways of getting adam (I was adopting, protected her three times, then harvest) with which I could buy and try more plasmids.

In Bio1 I just ignored Big Daddies except for first time and those I was forced to kill. Simply because I also ignored plasmids, switching between weapon and plasmid was pain in the ass and I rather shoot my way through with guns...

So for me Bioshock 1: 8/10 and Bioshock 2: 9/10

I have a problem, after 5 min of playing I'm feeling sick and dizzy. I just have to stop playing. I had similar problem in first bioshock but I think I got used to it.

Any recomendations to change something in config files maybe? I think I'll try changing FOV to 90 or something.

I play at 5:4 1280x1024.

91. As 91 is for 16:9 and 85 for 16:10 iirc.

I don't necessarily agree with everything I say.

2K Games Announces Extensive Downloadable Content for BioShock® 2

New Single Player And Multiplayer Additions Enrich The Rapture Experience By Adding A Wealth Of New Content And Features

Quote:
Monday 22nd February/...2K Games announced today an aggressive post-launch downloadable content plan for BioShock®2 that extends and enhances the single and multiplayer experiences by adding more glimpses into the award-winning world of Rapture. Downloadable content will be made available soon, beginning with the Sinclair Solutions Test Pack, available this March from the Xbox® LIVE Marketplace for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Games for Windows–LIVE for 400 Microsoft Points and from the PlayStation®Network for £3.19. Future expansions into the world of BioShock 2 are slated to arrive over the coming months and will continue to expand on the stories of the denizens of Rapture.

“The fans who waited in the snow, rain and cold for the midnight launch of BioShock 2 have spoken and their message is that Rapture still has many fascinating stories to tell,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “Downloadable content is a key part of our efforts to continue to entice the fans that have made 2K a household name - we intend to deliver single and multiplayer content that respects and expands upon one of the greatest fictional worlds ever created.”

Sinclair Solutions Test Pack, the first of several planned downloadable packages, contains a number of customization features that will allow players to further their character’s development in BioShock 2’s multiplayer modes and provide a deeper multiplayer experience. The pack includes:

• Rank Increase to level 50 with Rank Rewards
• New playable characters Louie McGraff and Oscar Calraca
• 20 new trials*
• A third weapon upgrade for each weapon
• Five additional masks*
*Some items are only available after a player achieves a rank of 41 or higher.

In the coming months, 2K Games will also be publishing downloadable extensions of the single player experience that provide new insight into the world of Rapture. These packages will include more narrative, new tools and new challenges that extend the lore and fiction of the failed Utopia under the sea
