Looks like it could be pretty sweet for free DLC, though as mentioned above a lot depends on the quality of the missions.

Is there a patch i can use for this game?
Nothing major but every now and then like just now.
I got a crash to desktop.
I haven't a legit copy so can't see if there is a patch available?
But, is there one?
And more importantly.
Is it game save friendly?
Cheers....

Late March? Lazy bastards!
They've also given away the Hammerhead will be unlike the Mako in that it can't explore worlds. It's only usable in those five missions. And considering it's just one DLC, I'm guessing those missions will be short, very straightforward shootouts (even more so than those you do on foot). Prove me wrong, Bioware!

I had no issues and there's nothing about compatibility in the changelog so it should work.

finally started playing the first game... man its weird... the entire ship layout is pretty massively different, and comparatively the controls, equipment, leveling up and tweaking setups in the game are pretty overwhelming...

But so much more satisfying when mastered, as opposed to the simplicity of the sequel.

but to be fair, theres something to be said for streamlining to keep the pacing up...
but whatever, ill do my best to keep an open mind and try REALLY hard to finish the game this time, and then ill see which style i preferred...

The biggest difference is probably the inventory/customization system. All the attachments, omni tools, bio amps, ammo types takes a while to figure out, but gives a lot more customization options. It's quite timid in comparison to your typical RPG systems, but a huge difference if you compare it with ME2.
With that said, ME1 system wasn't too great in my opinion. Inventory is to blame for the most of it's flaws. Carrying all those types of ammunition to be able to supply all your squad for example. There was just too much stuff to go through once you start filling up your inventory. They should try to make something in between what ME2 and ME1 had, taking the best from both systems.

The combat department is the only department where ME2 pisses all over the first.
other than that ME1 shits all over it's sequel.
Why they couldnt make ME1+ ME2 combat in one game resulting ME2 its beyond me.

me2 was an attempt to find a good 'fit' for gameplay. theyll take feedback from me2 and ull see a new system in me3, hopefully something in between 1 and 2... one thing is for absolute certain, the system in me1 DID need a change. they just went a little far.

The thing I dislike the most in this one is that there is one cooldown for all your abilities. This really removed A LOT of tactical thinking in combat. When you had seperate cooldowns on abilities you needed to think about using it more

I did miss separate cool downs that's true, but they balanced it out more or less.
I don't get people's need for crouch. You will barely last a few seconds out in the open during a firefight, unless you move out of the way fast. You need to use cover, and when you do, there's no need for crouch. I can't think of a single moment during the game when I thought I could use it.

I had a few instances where I wished I was able to crouch.
Usually situations where I had to move from one spot to another and due to the chest-high walls or other obstacles in the environment it would have been possible to stay out of the line of fire of the enemies if I had been able to crouch.
I don't really see a reason not to include it.... maybe when they were simplifying the game they just decided that more than 5 buttons or something is too complicated, so crouch had to go.

Recently installed and enjoying this immensely.
it's dumbed down to all hell but it doesn't seem to suffer as much for it as I expected.
A quality game.

Moving whilst crouched didn't effect your accuracy anywhere near as much as moving normally, making it a lot more practicle to move from cover to cover shooting as you went. Especially considerring you weren't as exposed either so could easily duck behind objects.
Personally I rarely used sprint in the first game, it was only really to run away and heal when I got myself in trouble.

The nVidia Control Panel does not seem to find my Mass Effect 2 cracked exe or recognize it when added so should I be picking the Launcher to be the one added? It would be nice to not have to run Nhancer when I want to play the game.
Edit: Guess I need to give more details of what I did.

you dont need to run nhancer everytime.. it makes change to game profile.. and until you undone it it wont change.. apart that try adding exe.. enable aa.. tab back to game.. and see if aa is working or not.. its easy as that to check..
