Yes it has a grand campaign.. which you can play after you have finished the main campaigns..
The map is smaller (Europe/africa) .. but there are more provinces in the game than in empire.. eg france was 1 big province in empire.. now its like atleast 5
Gameplay has VASTLY improved

lol, just bought the Imperial Edition in a key store. 21 gigs download on steam.....biggest mother og all time in download for me just for one game. Impressive size

Hi guys,
I installed as explained in the NFO file. When I try to run, it says I can't start it because steam_api.dll is missing from the computer. This file is both in one of the Napoleon folders and the Steam Folder.
I tried copying it to system32, but only got a different error message.
Any ideas?

the steam_api.dll should be in the root of your game folder. If its not then it didnt install properly.
and are you trying to run it directly from game folder shortcut, or thru steam ?

which key store did you buy it from? i'm actually currently looking for a key store that sells it.

I had the same issue and a couple of variants of the same problem i think its the installer fault as it never says its run out of space even if it does, i needed to free up 30+ gigs on my drive to get this working.
Sometimes it didn't install the stamapi.dll and sometimes it was just an empty file and other files would be missing etc.

It's only english. BTW this game feels much more polished than etw, i'm starting to enjoying it, too bad there are limited campaign options

the whole game feels like it's absolutely nothing BUT polish
like they made the engine with empire and didn't bother polishing it proper and then did this just for the polish as the engine was already there
different allocation of development resources
it's all cool and all, but we usually expect this shit to be in the original product to begin with

Wrong. Its Multi 8. Theres english spanish german french italian russian polish and czech lang there.

I always buy from here. He doesnt have a actuall key website but bought plenty of keys from him. All games he has for sale is always updated on that list. Might take a day or two before u get your key but at the price he sells at none of the keystores can compete with him. Besides I got him on MSN now so usually get my keys farely quick.
I bought Imperial Edition for $35 but he also sells the Standard edition for $25

I love how you in the singleplayer campagin get choices sometimes to jump into and take control of the AI in other players singleplayer battles. And of course how suddanly the AI is replace by a human player in your own game. A wonderful way to give the singleplayer game a twist, and to mix singpleplayer with multi.

I didn't notice any language changing options so i was assuming that there is only english. Sorry for the mislead.

Yep there isnt, u must use Phoenix sid extractor to unpack the language files u want.

No second key is for "Elite forces" which is part of the Imperial Edition.
Why would you Think it's medieval Gold? You didn't buy it ón steam. Your activating a retail key. You don't get Medieval 2 Gold unless you buy ón steam

You can ally up with your friend and just fight the AI nations. |
But not command troops together vs the other computer? |

You can. Just attack a place along with your friend.
One thing they still need to add is letting you see what your allies see. It's pretty dumb how you can't.
