Those txt files were the same you had in the temp dir with the beta, i just copied it all over.
Must say it runs not as smooth as the beta, maybe cause of the AI and scripts. Running all medium 1680x1050 dx9. Massive framedips during the movies and with heavy action, sometimes in the 20s fps Sad (maybe i need to update my driver, but i'm hesitant to do that).
SP Game is ALOT like MW2 sofar, although there's way to much movies in between action, almost to the point you'd be better of with an action flick Very Happy

lol I love how everyone immediately rips in to RLD when shit doesn't work, and then it turns out to be something incredibly stupid like not copying all of the files included in the crack. Razz

This is probably Vista/7 issue - use Fraps.

That's the dumbest thing ever. It's free, so? Anyone can criticize anything. Anyone who fears criticism should not release anything.

They are not here for your game needs.
This would be a dead board if there was no scene.

I guess you're one of those people who wouldn't mind being fucked over. Why complain about things when you can just deal with them, right?

Or more likely it is just a compatibility issue or a problem with the game. He is running Nvidia, you have ATI. You can't just compare two completely different PCs and expect them both to run the same. You might have a shittier computer but that doesn't mean it is going to run better if there is a driver issue or something with Nvidia that is causing his problems.

They patched the laggy mouse issue during beta, it was due to the # of render-ahead frames. The retail build is probably dated before the beta patches due to manufacturing time.

SP: This game is VERY guided. So far, on the third mission, and it still holds you back. Like if it says shoot after 3 seconds, you literally cannot shoot until the three seconds are up even though it's not a cinematic, you cannot move past your team mates at times, there are lots of pop ins where your team will just appear in front of you (in fact this happens with a lot of things), I've yet to see an open ended level like in BFBC1, there is massive input lag compared to the MP beta, the FOV is horrendously small, you cannot turn off the crosshair even on the hardest mode and dying is hard as your health keeps regenerating.

However, it feels good to shoot the enemy as they react, they don't feel like paper targets, the graphics are semi-good and weapon animations are above par.

It's not really feeling like BFBC1 SP so far, hopefully that changes. That not being able to shoot thing really irks me though. I mean, for fucks sake, if you shoot before the 3 seconds then be penalized. Our hands are held constantly in games now it's fucking pathetic.

+1 on the 3 seconds shooting and not running before you're team mates.

So far so good, I played a couple of hours now and it's quiet good. Allthough there are some huge bugs, like disappearing models and stuff like that. Gameplay is awesome though.

This release uses an old version of the code - beta had new code, especially after the last patch. For example, flickering issues with crossfire cards were fixed in the beta, but are present on this. You can't also set FOV in the options, and it was said that retail will have that option.

There will probably be a pre-release/day-1 patch soon.

As for SP, it seems fun, it looks beautiful, animations are very good and fluid and it has a fucking option to select what you want - activation or disk check!! How cool is that? Very Happy

Furthermore:

- Team mates cannot die
- Weapons sometimes disappear if the game doesn't want you to have them, ie: rocket launcher
- No lean feels crap in SP
- You can get REALLY close to the enemy in cut scenes and in game, it feels really unrealistic, unless of course they have a 4ft seeing distance in a 3 degree FOV.
- There are bounds where you will die instantly if you cross them before it wants you to ie: when the tank comes into town.

You can run the update software but it won't find anything, perhaps March 1st or sometime for the patch release period then?
(US release being on the 2nd or something like that with EU on the 3rd or something.)

Good game so far, some minor bugs as mentioned above, running around the third mission now (Counting prequel.) runs great as well and also looks quite good. Smile
(Can't say much about the game, fairly standard scripted shooter like Airborne, Hells Highway or MW2 to use some recent examples, probably similar length as well.)

EDIT: Around 40 - 50 FPS most of the time, everything on and with 2x AA.

Neat, something to pass the time till I can play the official release.
Surprised about what people say about linearity. They were promoting their game being relatively open ended in terms of how you approach your objective. At least in comparison with MW2 for example.

Also, FOV options were actually supposed to be added in the patch from the start.
The build is probably not old, just different. As in it has different fixes from those that were made in the beta patches. Since beta only ended a couple of days ago, they obviously didn't implement those specific changes in the retail.
