works... i never played as zerg because i just didn't care for them so naturally it picks zerg for me on the first try... and i got raped by 3 terran soldiers
on the virus note - kaspersky detected some hidden processes but didn't freak out.
i grabbed star.craft.2.beta.singleplayer.sandbox.crack.only-ind from the games binaries, is that what everyone else is using?

why it took them 10 years to make this game ? its starcraft with better graphics and some modifications.dont get me wrong i like it but WTF ? it should have been released long time ago

i must be really rusty because right now the 3.0 ai from botdev is kicking my ass. it's been at least 6 years or longer since the last time i put any real time into starcraft. pretty cool though. the graphics are nice but like someone said earlier... 10 years is a long time to wait for some eye candy.

Still keeps crashing , running the exe and CTD as it loads before i even get to any main menu

anyone tried that chinese AI yet?
A-A heres what i did step by step
1 - downloaded the beta client from file shack and installed. it automatically pulled in some udpate. i was afk while it installed.
2 - downloaded the lazytown launcher mentioned earlier in the thread from ind
3 - went to botdev.org and downloaded version 3.0 of the ai and overwrote the files mentioned in the readme. it's on the frontpage under the 28-02-2010 post.
4 - downloaded the ai maps directly under that in the 27-02-2010 post.
thats it - fired up lazylauncher and selected the lost temple map, Lost-Temple-AI.s2ma from the map pack. just spent a good hour playing as protoss against protoss and terran. the ai is pretty stupid overall but i actually got beat the first couple of times while i refreshed my mind on how everything worked. really tempted to try that chinese file but those little crafty bastards could have anything crammed inside that file.
or maybe i'm just paranoid

Because it's blizzard they are kinda slow, like they have 13 employees or something. |

cool glad you got it working dude. now if the botdev site would come back up so i could download that level 4 ai file i saw... damn it. anytime you are pressed for time you can be sure something will go wrong

But the site s not loading for me :\
This ai is really good as people say.
P.s. Downloaded it. It actually harasses and it actually beat me. The 1st time.Wow

I played AI version 5 as well and it destroyed me and as you said harassed me and it kept spying with probes.

I did a quick skim but couldn't find it, did anyone have trouble getting widescreen resolutions with the beta? I have the game working but It wont let me select anything other than the default res. I want 1366x768.
Didnt see any config ini's in the folder. Thanks

does the AI get out of their own base now ? previous ones didnt, they stayed inside their own base until you came and cleared the way.

Page that keeps updating with the new Ai's and stuff.
Also, the Chinese AI's cheat (get more minerals bla bla)
usmc23 & turdbuglar AI v5 (Smartest Yet) <-- the Non-cheating one. And they upgrade the Versions quite fast, got the v4 played a game, went to sleep wokeup and here is the v5 =)
So i recommend the Smart AI before the Cheating ones.
