I'm happy with my XP and they should recognize that lots of ppl don't want to change their os yet. For me it's too much fuss with getting new drivers for everything and so on. I'll wait at least a year when i upgrade my hardware for dx11 titles. I think that M$ had a lot to do with this no dx9 support seeing that their new crap isn't selling that well as say XP in it's days.

I can understand people not wanting to move from their OS, if it's fine for them, who am I to argue. It's complaining about it when something doesn't support almost a 10 year old OS that seems unjustified, especially if it's just a game.
In any case, driver support is quite fine by now and there were no issues with upgrading for me. In fact, I had more trouble with upgrading to XP back in the day, than moving to W7. Almost everything I had worked out of the box. I don't think W7 will be any easier to install in a year, so you'll need to go through this sooner a later anyway.
But yes, this is your choice, and you are more aware of the reasons to decide for yourself whether to upgrade or not. As was said here before, you could just dual boot - solves a lot of problems. That's how I always did it anyway.

No they shouldn't MS has zero reason to support consumers with old software.
Tschoob wrote: | For me it's too much fuss with getting new drivers for everything and so on. |
It's all automatic. The only things I'd suggest you manually install are chipset, GPU and any custom mouse/keyboard software. Everything else will be detected and drivers selected for download.

I don't think MS has as much input into these things as you think they do. Mid range DX11 hardware is cheap. Wait now, wait later what's the difference? If you keep waiting you'll never get anywhere.

It's only on extended support. Which basically means security fixes only.

The reality is, if you want the latest and greatest, you have to move on and upgrade. That's how it has always been...

But someone's wrong on the internet! How can we stop?
Besides, there isn't much to talk about with regard to Just Cause, at least until the demo comes out.

Lots of people are still happy with WIN98. Imagine if they are starting to complain.

with win95 it was the same but the error's came right after the installation

m...sound intresting but it doesn't look that good visualy if to judge by the trailers.
i do think that the power of this game will be the gameplay and not the graphic, but maybe when it will be installed on my machine and i will actualy play it, it will look different to me. (not that it looks bad from trailers, but i can't see any special stuff.)
