it wont be resolved at mid night, the internal clock now thinks it's 2000 again - day two of 2000 isn't going to do shit.
Sony are no doubt shitting themselves - this is going to be EXPENSIVE for them. very.

The internal clock of the PS3 runs in GMT. There's some 6 hours left before it ticks over; http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=20045493&postcount=5303 (img won't hotlink)

What I find wierd is the games seem to crash when trying to load trophies, now I dont give a shit about them wonder if deleting them does anything?.

Some games are actually working but trophies are buggered.
Batman works for instance.

i thought it was displaying 2000 cos it wasnt able to handle the current date properly as it thinks its 29th feb 2010. there should be no reason why it was programmed with a 30th Feb, so midnight tonight all should be cool - assuming what most people have been saying iis somewhat accurate.

Doesn't matter. The problem has nothing to do with the PSN network or the internet.

OK out of the games I have the only 2 that won't work are Killzone 2 which quits with the trophy error, and Wipeout HD which boots ok but says it's a trial version and only lets me choose a single race.
As I said before, all of my games updated fine so obviously the system CAN connect to the PSN servers for that atleast, so they should be able to usher out a system update aswell if they need to.

Hopefully it's just a precaution. On neoGAF users who manually reset the clock by taking their PS3 apart are successful in restoring the PS3.

I just turned on my phat PS3 for the first time today and it's fine. My date was correct and I can play MW2 online. I will be getting BC2 tomorrow so I am glad it's ok! Hopefully Sony releases a fix for all the people that cannot connect soon.
