yeah, its nice. played some earlier. Will probably order now for the ps3 next week.

I see zero gfx issues, so if there is issues in comparison, you really have to be looking for them.

people chatting in the env is done nicely too.

seems very sharp and of good quality to me, on a 40' 1080p hdtv, sitting 3 meters from the screen.
You're running it from the dvd or from Hd install?

Odd, I've just played for about 1.5hrs but notice no corruption or low quality at all. It's all very crisp on my 40" Bravia and tried my 32" Samsung as well to compare, still no tearing, pixelation or blur.

Pretty cool game so far, though the tutorial part is pretty long. After 1.5hrs I still don't have the paradigm stuff Razz I thought you would get it sooner Smile

We rushed a bit, and DVD1+2 of our original release are potentially
dodgy (AnyDVD corruption).
Here to save you from redownloading a big repack/proper, we bring
you a ppf fix. Sorry for the hassle!

Instructions: Place both DVD images in a folder, copy over the contents
of this release, click the .bat.

It's bad in that it's old and incorrect for the new games, it's SSV2 now. Easily fixable with ABGX360, but the game needs to be in the database first; and that ain't gonna happen with FFXIII for at least another week - minimum - as the game isn't retail yet. Burning this game as SSV1 could be a flag for MS to detect. Could. Could not. Take your pick and take the risk.

@AllStars fix

Woohoo!! Thanks muchly p00chie =)

Bad burn first round, attempting again now. Apparently I shouldn't try playing back 1080p mkv while burning Razz

Fingers crossed!

It's real. PPF files are only tiny patches, all this will do is remove the corruption and set the data back in the correct order.

@onthepunt : that's an ingame screen not a fmv right?

edit : ok it's a fmv, video player.

It's weird, the fmv i saw (the first ones, i played half an hour) were a lot better than that, your screen look like an ingame screenshot.

My initial impressions are that the in-game engine is graphically fair for a 7th generation console, don't get me wrong it looks fine just not what I had hoped from SE.
Also, I am struggling with the camera in certain positions when near objects.

edit: updated my impressions of the in-game engine.

So how's the storytelling so far? Engrossing or mildly entertaining?

[quote="fredrikpj"]So how's the storytelling so far? Engrossing or mildly entertaining?[/quote

Definitely engrossing, believable characters, cool storyline and the scenery is awesome, filled with bustling life as well as the full gamot of light, colour and shade.
Perhaps I was being a little unfair before, the in-game engine is good, just not the cutting edge graphical improvement I had expected.

What is an improvement is the way the storyline and background is presented, rather than hit you with endless amounts of puzzling dialogue, some is verbalized while the majority is laid out in your datalog.

Will there be anything else in this game except 'run 10 feet forward - fight - run 10 feet forward - fight'. I'm playing for 40 minutes and I'm aready bored.

Nothing, you need it for some achievments, afaik. That's all. Of course, it also shows if you suck or not Very Happy
