Yes, I agree this DRM IS RETARDED. I HOPE AC2 will be downloaded from hell and back, so that Ubi drops this IDIOTIC protection. This doesn't stop me from buying the game itself, and I said that numerous times:

well apparently some guy found a way to fix that animus bug and created a savegame right after that part of the game
1 - Download saves from http:\\etc...
2 - Put those files in C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\storage\your profile

Not surprising. Big question is whether it's actually loading data from the server, or if it's just doing more checks that need to be patched out.
