Ronhrim scene groups dont exactly have release dates Smile thenormal02 don`t know how it works with AC2 but yes in SH5 you can`t complete mission or rather the game won`recognize you doing mission objectives like: sink 50000 tons of ships but you do it and the counter still says you didn`t

don't know if there will be a crack in the near future.

i wouldnt be surprised if the protection is a kind that actually adds necessary files to the game after certain points in the story or even deletes certain files when they are not needed so only if a SCENE GROUP actually finishes the entire game while keeping track of what files change than there might be a chance of a crack.

it's like the full game is in fact a 99% of the game and as u play along the online connection completes the game as u progress. this might be one of the reasons why u need a constant connection.

So anyone confimed that game downloads files during gameplay and thats the real reason for internet connection ? So Ubi would cheat customers as they said the game needs this connection to constantly check game being retail and legal ?

What you say is extremely complex and difficult to be done by Ubi.We're talking about thousands of different system setups and on-the-fly updates are just science fiction for now.

i dont think this has been confirmed by hackers nor ubisoft. it was just a guess of mine.
it would make a really tough protection to crack which might explain a lot of things about the DRM.

Skidrow released SH5 with first patch really quick but there is something wrong with it and it worries me that second day passes and they can`t fix this, with AC2 it looks even worse cause theres no scene release

Do you remember what people said about having online activation in games? Everyone said that if people buy them games DRM will only get worse. Look at this shit now. What's next for DRM?

It gets a bit unbalanced about halfway trough if you've focused only on standard purchases and upgrades and nothing fancy and spent the rest on the "villa", I generate about 13000 florins (Every 20 minutes.) so I regularly have to return and empty the chest just to spend on other stuff, bought most everything that's available now and nearly fully upgraded the place. (It looks quite different now.) but on the other hand the improved AI and enemy soldier types give a nice increase in challenge.
(Those fat heavy dudes are annoying as is the armored spear carriers in venetzia or venice to use that name, pickpockets and bards generally get a bunch or worse as well which leads me to frequently having to remove posters and kill people to get a more anonymous state.)

Much less jump back and forth via Animus as well but a better told story despite that as it's explained better, some confusing stuff as well.
(Already covered in the console section though. "Truth" and all that.)

Remains to find the 90 remaining feathers, 3 emblems and 20 codex pages and the villa is nearly complete.
(Some more armor and weapon pieces as well that's unlocked later on I imagine.) Smile

General screens from some different places and "chapters".

Does not compute.

Regarding the game, it DOES seem better than the first one (I highly doubt they could do worse). Aside from the city rebuilding part (which sounds nice) can you make choices that actually affect the game or are the quests on rails? Also, what about the variety of main and sidequests?

I think they dont know about issues in crack cuz if the game isnt working well its rapidly nuked and they make crackfix but sh5 its not nuked the group just waits for another challenge.I saw one nfo on game proper release and in the nfo was mentioned that they were surprised why no one informed them that there is a problem with the previous release.I think that the groups release something and they check it when its nuked. So they've needed one day to crack sh5 and tonight will pass one day by ac 2 release so maybe tonight it will have release

The game still plays out linear although you have the option to interact a bit with a quick event keys like say hugging Leonardo or just greeting him if you don't press that button in time, not a huge difference but a nice touch.

This basically appears to set the scene for Assassins Creed 3 or whatever the next game will be.
(Some say a sort of 2.5 where you still play as Ezio in Italy or some such and not the modern era Desmond.)

that would be really stupid of Ubi to make Assassin's creed "2.5"...i would expect that the story would end in Desmond's time and i suspect that it will...how else will you be able to relate the soty to desmond's life if they remane in Italy?of course nothing that Ubi does surprises me anymore...

Well, there's the problem of 15th century Italy = totally awesome, modern era = meh.

That's the only reason I want to play AC2. Reviews of the console versions indicated they put a ton of work into accurately recreating the settings. The late middle ages (well, early Renaissance in Italy) is a wonderful, underutilized setting for all sorts of games. So many use medieval elements and tack on a bunch of Tolkien-esque fantasy crap, they forget how compelling real medieval Europe is.

Moar historical fiction plz kthxbai.

Wasn't there speculation that AC 3 would be in medieval Japan, in the Sengoku period?
