Isn't DRM still holding? There is no working crack, after all...
How long is it holding? 1 day? 2 days? We've seen stubborn DRMs before which held much longer and are cracked now (like the SecuROM Activation when it was first released). This one was already cracked in another game, so this will come soon too.
As far as I know, SH5 hasn't been cracked yet either, it is almost as playable as AC2.
Anyway, if it holds out even a few weeks, for AC2, their goal might be accomplished. Won't be so for other games though, unless they can make protection unique enough to cause a similar delay.
It would be interesting to see some numbers later - just how much do they gain by implementing their protection systems.
Oh, I didn't know there were more triggers. But still, both games were just released. Do you remember how many "bugs" (triggers) there were in Mass Effect?
Guild Wars has all the content on the hard drive, like all MMOs. It allows you to play while some areas are still not downloaded, but it still dlds in the background and you need to have it on the hdd to play.
Mass Effect didn't have any kind of online component though. I think all those triggers in SH5 and AC2 are checked through their system. So they might not be as easy to circumvent, since having an online check gives you some more elaborate options to force the protection to work.
With that said, the games were indeed just released, can't do much more than just speculate.

Specially to ac2 russian crack i tried to play with internet cable unplugged and it works so i dont think its because they are detecting my pirate version.Still think that all files are on your pc but triggers pop up and are preventing you to play regular.When white screen pops up i actually hear voices and movement from Ezio so it seems that the level is there but some triggers are blinding me and its like i play without monitor

Even though I'm not exactly sure what it means, I had this exact same thing happen to me occasionally while I was playing the Xbox 360 version. It always happened right after the game did some kind of autosave. Maybe this has something to do with the weird online saving bs.

I don't think it actually downloads any game files. Perhaps just some encrypted confirmation data for saves or just for verification. For all we know, it fails because we don't get the necessary feedback from the Ubi server, not because there is something not fixed in the game itself.
In any case, as it is, the game doesn't work, so we can't really say that it is possible to play with no connection based on what we have right now.

From one perspective, it's pretty stupid to require an internet connection then do absolutely nothing with it (except backup save games).
It's only a matter of time before nearly all games effectively become MMOs and therefore unpiratable. Ubisoft doesn't quite have the balls to do that (running game servers for tens of thousands of players costs $$$), but someone will soon. Then we really are all fucking, until someone leaks the server code or writes an emulator from scratch.
