Well the slowdowns arent exactly "slowdowns" but easily noticed when running fraps. Like from 100fps+ to 40 in some points where there is smoke, GTX had much better min fps

Well, I'm still using a key from that site which I bought a couple of weeks after the game was released.

Nice attempt at trolling but Smile

I still can not get my order to process using credit card from USA.
You need to add to cart and checkout. They will email you instructions on how to process payment. But it does not work for me. I already setup a purse account but I cant get any money transferred into it. On top of that, moneybookers.com stopped banned all US people from sending money out. Trash.

Oh well, for $20 it was worth a try...and I did playBC2 and I hated it. MW2 is much better.

it's flawed and doesn't by any means live up to it's potential on the PC but it's still a decent arcade shooter if judged on it's merits. Ironically the amount of hate IW got for it's matchmaking MP it at least worked for me from day one. I bought BFBC2 on release day and 3-4 days on I still have problems getting online games. Can't win really.

Thanks zazathedog, it does take paypal. Placed order,. Now waiting for key. For $24.99, ill deal with the hackers. Best multiplayer PC game IMO. I played BC2 and did not like it at all.
Got my key!! Installed and works great! Back online... Amazing!!! So happy!!

yes MW2 is great. i own both mw2 and bc2 and i play both. they are different experiences in that one is about fast close combat and another is more open and slower.

imo mw2 has the best infantry feeling to any online shooter. moving, aiming, shooting, it all feels so tight.

Will IW charge PC users for the new maps too? They better not since PC users are screwed with no dedicated servers.

One of the benefits of IWnet from a commercial standpoint is to apply payed content to the PC platform. At least thats what the community has been assuming, guess we'll see in april how it will go on. Although I couldn't care BC2 ftw.

price actually is normal when you compare to other dlcs on xbox live. if you look at map packs for halo3 or cod:waw which had 3 maps for 10$. here you get 5 maps for 15$.

but still i hope maps are free (or much cheaper) on pc cos they will come a month later and they were free for older cod games.

Normal? Wtf are you smoking. Maybe on console it is if they think a buttfuck like that is normal. 15 freaking dollars for 5 maps? Just MAPS! I would understand if it was new spec op missions, new guns, emblems in addition of those 5 maps.
And you know they will sell millions of those map packs, even on pc (which I am pretty sure will be charged for). And if it does sell well on pc, we will probably say bye-bye to free map packs on pc for other games.
Good thing I switched to BC2 and havent played mw2 for weeks, just hope those bastards will not charge us for maps, charge the console crowd who are more than willing to pay for it.

Bahahahahha........!

15 bucks for 5 maps, yeah...I'm already setting those 15 bucks aside to buy it. -.-
No wait, I've got BC2 to amuse myself with without having to deal with a shitload of cheaters either.

The whole point of IW's matchmaking system and no dedi's on the PC was so they could control the user end content. ie: no fan made maps, mods etc etc.. c'mon now, any one who
has been following the gaming scene even a little surely must have saw this coming from a long time ago..
Remember this game is coming from Activision the very same company that thought MW2 should have been sold at a higher RRP then it actually was.
Sure it's a kick in the face for PC owners who have traditionally got this stuff for free, but ever since gamings gone mainstream those days are probably coming to an end.

As for BFBC2, don't be surprised if your paying for maps and extras too for that game too. Remember the 'Booster Packs' for BF2 which died on their asses and are now given away for free via 1.5 patch. They were pretty much paid for DLC even back then. Hope i'm very wrong though..

I paid $24.99 for the game..well worth it..but would not pay a penny more.
$15 for maps is more than half the total cost of game..forget it.
