Because it does.
Doesnt matter the medium or state, as I said you can steal it.
Just like a co-worker may steal someones idea and use it to better themselves, so the poor guy goes to his boss and says what?
1. "OMG that guy stole my idea"
2. "OMG that guy commited copyright infringement"
Either way, the idea belonged to the guy even not in physical form was still stolen and used for another purpose not beneficially to the original author.
Software is the same.

Ahh one of the biggest excuses from the late 80's. But since you brought it up lets talk about it
Just because someone doesnt have a lot of money does not excuse the theft of an item they cant buy.
For instance I cant afford a Space Shuttle, so its ok for me to steal one? People will say blah blah bad analogy blah blah, but its not and the reason most say that is because they know they cant counter-debate that point
Everything was going fine debating wise, but as usual some people attack others, and if someone attacks me in a post ill respond in kind. Everyone is entitled to opinions of course, but as said unfortunately some people dont know how to debate and resort to childish methods of trying to look cool
As for the person who pointed out PC gaming is suffering as a whole, is quite correct, eventually in some years time developers/publishers will dismiss the PC market mostly and concentrate on consoles. PC's will really become the App and MMORPG medium.
Shame really, but there you go, perhaps buying those future GeForce 460/480's may not be a good idea as an investment |
I agree, I really don't get people who try to "morally justify" piracy.
I download a lot of stuff, and I do it because I'm a cheap bastard who doesn't want to shell out money for something he can get for free. Simple as that, I don't understand why I should lie to myself and others to preserve... what? My "internetz moral integrity"? On nfohump forums no less? Please... as stated hundreds of times before, games are not a necessity, if you don't want to spend the money or simply you can't because you don't have enough... either dont play, or pirate, but in the second case don't try to justify it like playing videogames is your right... it's pathetic.

You re wrong there, because nobody steals anything by copying (sic!). It is copyright infringement. So your whole point is without merit.

I'm glad to see comments on this......I'm a cheap bastard also and I know it is wrong to take something without paying....Half the games I get I don't even finish.....It is more of a collection thing.....I am a jaded gamer...because I take any game I want for free I have nothing invested. When I buy games I feel the need to finish them or at least put in the time. Saying that I also am glad I didn't pay for certain games that sucked bad......

Maybe this questions been asked before, but, would you recommend playing the first AC, before this one?
I have played AC for about 2 hours, then I got bored riding around on that horse. But apparently AC2 is alot more varied, so I thought I should give it a try.
Do I need to play the first one (story wise)
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Actually you are stealing the right to use the software since you didnt purchase the license to use it.
Like the above example I gave about the co-worker stealing an idea, he didnt get the permission from the original author of said idea to use it to promote himself. |
it is still not stealing, because one cannot steal rights, at least not in the sense of rights used here. There is a reason why the juridical system uses the term infringement.

Damn, the game is great but it's still the worst €16 I've ever spent for a game. You get in if you're lucky, and right when you're getting into the action, BAM you're kicked to desktop. What a bunch of retardos.
If anyone has even the slightest idea in his head about buying this game, DON'T DO IT!!!! Wait for the fooking crack.

Yet I have been playing the game for almost 6 hours and I have yet to encounter anything like that. I have had nothing but smooth playing.

well now maybe with an update to 1.01 US release, the groups can find a hole to get this released ?
Changes in v1.01
- Game can now be continued from the exact same point when connection is restored
- Added support for ATI Eyefinity technology
- Fixed minor performance issues related to some multi-core processors
- Now resets graphics options if a new video card or monitor is detected
- Fixed some minor issues in Uplay Browser

Yeah, I pre-ordered this back in novermber or something like that. As soon as I read about the DRM I canceled the pre-order.
