Is this game so BAD that developers need uber special protection so maybe someone buy it? mmm, I think I pass and don't play this one. This make me remember GTA4, uber "expensive" and annoying protection because the game is worst than San Andreas, so maybe someone buy it.

Man, the idea of not getting everything for free makes you that delusional? Assassin's Creed 2 is a fantastic game.
Just because you're too cheap/poor to buy a 360 or just fork over the money for the game doesn't mean that it's bad.

Kinda sucks to everyone that purchased the game, but they knew that this was a possibility.

I will never buy a game with that DRM attached.
To me it's a move towards destroying pc games.

Oh well, I was prepared for that so I took it with much dignity  , until the moment it started screwing up with my savegames - good I had them backed up. But the board was and still is ablaze, many people simply pissed over the game are taking it back to stores in the morning :/.On the side, Ubi sucks hard for not even telling us WHY THE FUCK was the game unplayable for several straight hours.
Right now I simply can't see many people buying SC4 on PC or new PoP, after seeing all this AND if ubi won't remove this fucking eyesore.

You can't script this stuff.

Yes idiots, spread the hate. The servers were down for a total of 15-20 minutes today(which is the same time that Steam does their server sweep and you can't connect to shit), and they are working perfectly. If you bought the fucking game you wouldn't be complaining.
Wow, new game comes out with no functional crack yet and suddenly there are newfags on the hump spreading hate. What the fuck.

I've bought the game, I had problems in the morning and late evening. Take a look at the Ubisoft forums and other forums, more people have problems. Connection takes quite a bit to establish and it's hardly stable.
It was fine two hour ago or so, that was the last time I played, hopefully they'll get their act straight.

1. It was hardly 15 minutes.
2. The difference is that the likelihood that you'd need to actually login to steam while they're doing maintenance is minimal, whereas if you're playing while ubisoft's servers go down, there's a 100% chance that you're gonna be fucked. But yeah, other than that, spot-on comparison.

Bought it for the 360 months ago!
And it doesnt matter if its down for 30 seconds or 2 days. The downtime (and the possibilty thereof) obviously shows the flaws of this DRM scheme.

assassins creed 2 is a beautifull game, this antip measure spoils the gameplay and the autonomy a game itself has to follow, drm is a forcefull backdoor for us pc users. this game without this protection is an ok game!.

It's even more laughable looking at all the people complaining because it hasn't been cracked yet, as if they were entitled to their pirated copy.
Go install Linux and use open source if you feel entitled to all the latest versions of software, when you pirate software you're at the mercy of the people who have the time and knowledge to crack it for you.

Someone should push a class action lawsuit... Bought goods sold at price and don't work. Basically UBI has stolen the money from those people who have bought the game, even if its for one day, they cant even use the item they have spent money on...

not that bad.
judging from the cries and hate they're obviously succeeding in what they set out to do and apparently when it works(functional servers and all) it isn't even that bad/intrusive/bothersome... not to mention judging from reports the game is a good port in itself.
hell i'm waiting for a crack too because i'm just being cheap but at least i'm not complaining.
