This DRM will get cracked, one way or the other... Fubi is asking for it. No, they are provoking scene groups to do it. Just think, why would they post things like those they posted on twitter.
Seems that noone mentioned how they lost a certain number of customers right from the start, those without internet.

Damn, this game pisses all over AC1. It's impressive how they improved it. People who absolutely hated AC1 will not like this though, it's more of the same but alot better.
The controls take getting used to (I misjudge distances sometimes and drop to death), but you really feel badass when you get it under control. Running from roof to roof and then taking out two enemies at once after flying in the air feels amazing. Graphics are good and everything is smooth. I didn't notice any slowdowns or long loading times. I didn;t expect much from this game since I couldn't finish AC1, but I'm pleasantly surprised. Too bad Ubisoft ruined the experience by anally raping this game with their DRM. I'd say a smart dev would instantly drop this shit DRM after the failure, but since it's Ubisoft I highly doubt that.

Very true, but this entire argument in this entire thread is like buying a car, waking up one morning to see the tires slashed, doors keyed, and windows smashed in, and blaming the car dealership.
The servers were under attack, certainly not a norm for the service.
In no way am I defending the DRM they chose, just saying, pirates covering up their butt-hurt whining about how they can't play, claiming all evil against the DRM.
People in this thread are just bitching because they can't get the game for free right now, simple as that.
Legit customers would have been fine if the servers didn't get massacred, likewise your car would be fine if 5 or 6 bored hoodlums didn't smash it on you.

Regarding twitter comments made by UbiSoft
That only shows that they know that this protection is going to be cracked, sooner and later. What makes me laugh is that they're counting days before that happens! That's pathetic in my opinion!

Every publisher knows their DRM will get cracked. It's all about delaying that process, not stopping it.

This is an invalid analogy, though. A more accurate would be ordering a car, them taking your money, and then you are called and told that the freighter that was bringing the car from oversees has been stolen and for now there is nothing they can do. Who would you be pissed at? I would be at the car dealership, not the the ones that stole the freighter.

I am aware of that. I just say how pathetic is that they're counting days!
On the other side, I sincerely am feeling bad for all of those that bought game and cannot play! It's absolutely is not their fault! It's all UbiSoft's fault and they new DRM!

Usually the producer prevents this using piracy, i mean it can actually slow the pirating progress a bit , while in the meantime other guys give up and buy the game, thats not going to happen in this case because the fucking game doesnt work ffs

lol @ the sellouts in this thread who purchased the game.. tsk tsk tsk
I dont care if "it was only blah blah blah dlooars"
If your buying this game you are supporting this shitty DRM..
In this case i dont think ubi give a shit if you paid $10 or $80 .. they will still call it a "Sale" and if this game sells well (in numbers) they will claim this DRM works.. and every game will have it.. and all the other pubs will start doing the same shit.
So basically atm since people (even here) are buying the game..
the DRM is working (and you have NO right to complain/bitch about it.. if you went out and bought the game)

Going to have to agree on this one. The first analogy doesn't fit this particular situation all that well.
Again, everyone is blaming pirates for causing their servers to fail. How do we know this is true? Ubisoft isn't likely to say they made a mistake after all the posturing and smirking, much easier to blame it on the boogey-man.

Your ninja edits are fail
If you really wanted to pull a ninja troll and out, you would have used a different means that don't say "Last edited by Ronhrin on 09 Mar 2010 02:38; edited 1 time in total"

So I've seen a wallpaper with Ezio having a double switchblade. Does this factor into the gameplay? Also does he have only 8 fingers?
1 and 2 are still amazing.
