Yep, just tested and still the same.

He probs used it when servers where down and it worked for a while, thats maybe why he thinks it worked.

so why not simply turn off your Internet connection and play

If that worked, you could simply block ubi's servers in hosts or firewall, but it doesn't

a: this game doesn't interest me

Whoever gave me the hint about using the gun at the end, thanks.

Good game, much better than AC1. Too bad the story is left wide open since it's the second part of the trilogy.

Shouldn't we be happy about a "semi open" ending? I mean todays games plot are kind of weak...
For once you can't guess the end of the "movie" after the 10 first minutes...

I wasn't talking about the story being unpredictable, yes it is. They just left the ending open. Since it's the mioddle part, it's understandable.
A good story should always have closure. "We left it open use your imagination" is a lazy writer's excuse.

I have been playing for almost entire week without any issues, not even a single slowdown. I guess it's region dependent, but I also think that for the most part those connection issues are exaggerated. There's probably much less people who can't play for real... the rest are there just to whine around a little.

I mean, you guys are so ironic, you don't even know.

You are basically proving Ubisoft right with every attack. You look like spoiled little kids, who for once couldn't play their game before release day. And that's practically the truth too.

You can hide behind online communist mumbo jumbo kitchen philosophies, but the truth is simple:

1. You didn't buy the game.
2. You can't pirate it
3. You feel everything should belong to everyone, and thus you should have free stuff on others' expense
4. You act like a child and attack a legit business model, not because you can't play with your legit copy, no. You attack, because you feel like you are entitled to something for free.

Wake up idiots, you will just make more publicity for Ubisoft, and they will not drop their protection.

Amen to this Smile

Assassins Creed 2 just deserve to be bought its a great game and well worth the money.

Go UBI

It is good to see people who see the real reason on why many people moan and not the other reasons the moaners use to make it look like its not their fault they are moaning to the fact they cant steal the game yet.

Hope it continues for months, cause it is an entertaining thread of whining Razz

i remember but you can't compare starforce with this DRM. this is almost similar to steamworks DRM but without an offline mode. for steam there are good server emulator? it is crackable? the answer is NO. so this protection is UNCRACKABLE as well and don't aspect for a crack until when UBI will release an offline patch to remove the obligation to play all time connected to their server

steam + Ubi DRM are uncrackables and we are all fucking now Laughing

Well, this whole business just proved one thing to me. Whereas pirating used to be something few people did back in the golden ages, now, every idiot does it. In fact, these idiot spoiled kids are so used to it, that along comes a game, that's not cracked in a few days, and what do they do?

They attack the developers like angry little virgin teenage boys ... which they are anyway.

There is no morality behind it, there is no philosophy behind it. The whole case is simple: they didn't get it, and they can't handle the fact!

At least be man enough to admit, that you are frustrated as hell. Instead you pretend this is about freedom and privacy .. etc, when it has nothing to do with it. You bring pirates a bad name.

Nicely put Very Happy I personally hope that the future of cracks will demand a bit more Tech knowledge to install the crack. That way piracy will not be as big a problem for developers and maybe there won't be as many spoiled snotnosed kids pirating everything they see.

Right now it's simply to easy to get stuff without paying, I'll bet even Grannies can do it...

Now I will admit to being a pirate scum, but I remember a time where I had to do a bit of work to get games like make the right connections that would make it possible for me to get access to some private ftp's or get to be a member of some private site that really aimed to keep the number of members to a minimum.

That kind of "obstacles" made piracy a relatively small issue for the companies, result= way more games for the pc and not a lot of annoying drm.

Too bad for those without the skills or contacts BUT we never ever had to put up with Obnoxious grownups and spoiled brats, and btw. a lot of my IRL friends weren't Tech savvy but they still got some games from me without paying for them AND they were content with the stuff they got...

This would have worked in the "nice ol' days" when internet wasn't so widespread and public warez comunities were little to non-existent.

Nowadays even the dumbest n00b can go on any of the houndreds of public warez forums and just follow a step-by-step idiot-proof tutorial, unfortunately... damn some are so stupid they actually ask for help about the cracked version on the game's official forums... if that's the average IQ level, what do you expect Sad

I hear you, I actually don't expect too much of humanity anymore Sad As it seems to me that most people do all kinds of stuff just because they can without giving too much thought...
