I wonder why some steam games (like Battlefield Bad Company 2) got cracked before street date, and others (like this one) can only be cracked from street date on.

BC2 had a retail non-steam version. It didn't use Steamworks - with steam games, the game itself is essentially incomplete before the release date.

Yeah it's packed in those SID/SIM archives which would need to be decrypted first, I guess the key should be available tomorrow or something as it's released on Tuesday in the US, having a separate crack would be the only thing needed then unless loaders work or if it by any chance uses a secondary protection like SecuROM over the usual Steam DRM.

No. It's not possible to play Steamworks games before they have been unlocked for legit customers.

Yes is true, because this game contains 3D Vision...so huge requirments is needed.
Also you can play without 3D vision...---> smaller requirments

I'm considering buying it from g2play.net. Haven't seen it cheeper anywhere else and it's almost half price compared to Steam. Seeing it's a steam game you'll still be able to access through steam just like you bought it there in the first place.

i'm using phoenix 13 beta, after Scan a SIM File, it did find the Metro 2033_disk1.sim, and show me two gcf files: Metro_2033_content.gcf and Metro 2033_ru.gcf, but after unpack, I found nothing in the folder!

I think its all because the game isn't out yet... No info of the game in phoenix
