still stutters like motherfucker..
and god this game is such retarded piece of shit
not only it looks like game from 2005.. runs like game from 2020 , its a freaking healing potion spamm fest game.. fighting those lvl 8 skelets is so fucking annoying.. spamm pot spamm pot spamm pot.. oh ur out of pots.. back to town.. next time buy pots for all ur gold.. what a piece of shit
i am trying to like this game.. but movement system is so bad.. combat system is broken due being stuck 24/7 not to mention how many times your char just wont move infront.. when you get surrounded and trying to jump out...
maybe its just warriors who cant do fight for jack shit .. but since even mages in this game are fighters.. i doubt there is difference..
did i told its impossible to find shit in this game " ye the entrance is near the mines. password is "urdumbshitminesdoesntexistonthemap"
i want another rpg.. but maybe i shouldnt reinstalled this crap.. i know sabin loved this.. but its just meh.. maybe i should play on easy.. to cut down on healing pots spamm..
i know about jumping and supposedly evading.. that helps now and then but when you start fighting 4-8 mobs a time thats useless.. someone will hit you with every rolling slide.. not to mention they wont die just cuz you dance around

Oddly enough, when I upgraded my GPU from a 8800GTS to a 5850 the stutters went away, completely vanished.

to clearify : first off i played the german release, so i dont know if performance wise there is a difference or not, but it was patched and the stutter, while there, was minimal.
For the pots, i really cannot agree at all. Alltho i played an Archer, the pot consuming was rather low imho. Also while it wasn't always "obvious" where a quest is, i never had an issue to find it by myself without any external help.
All that beside, i fucking ENJOYED this game a great big deal.

I had some troubles with performance, but i ran it on athlon x2 4400 and 8600GT, so honestly, it's nothing surprising. Finished it on that confing too, and it was enjoyable, while not smooth.
Played a mage and i don't remember being frustrated by pots, or anything else much, for that matter. Enjoyed it a lot, absolutely loved the fact that there was no instant quest marker showing You where to go - finally a game that lets me do a bit of seeking and searching on my own. Liked the atmosphere and story, and also, the lack of level scalling.
Combat was perhaps a bit diablo-ish and straightforward, but it did the job. I can understand though, that it might not be a game for everyone. Certain things like lack of quest pointer, mentioned above, might be seen as design flaws by other pepole - while refreshing for me, because it forces me to actually watch my surroundings while exploring, instead of just watching a point on a minimap.

um there are quest marks.. on ppl that give quests.. and those that receive them.. its not about that.. its that half of the time there is no direction pointing at all...
it doesnt say north of blabla.. or east of tada .. well it says in 1/10 quests.. in others it just say next to.. or just doesnt say at all

Um yeah we all know how boring and tedius is to explore game world looking for shortest path possible and AVOIDING all side quests secrets etc.... -_- Having fun playing game IS exploring and looking for new things i can find or do, not taking the shortest route possible.Thats why Fable was made. Btw game for me is great. Open world with no restrictions except lvl of mobs. Hey but thats me.

yeah with stuttering is faking annoying, unplayable w/o a crack. With crack is a bit better but not THAT much. No patch - no addon buy.

I had some stuttering as well, but activating the LAA flag in the executable so the game can use >2gb memory fixed it for me. Works for most games that have alot of stutter, actually.

Simply install, run the program, point it to the game executable and follow the steps. Takes 10 seconds, excluding the download and installation. It basically just changes one of the headers of the file so that it is allowed to address more memory( LargeAddressAware ).
Anyway, there's no point unless you've got at least 4gb RAM. You should also be using 64-bit windows, otherwise you'll have to do some more stuff.
Might not work on steam games though, considering it usually does a file check. But it works wonders on games where RAM becomes a problem; for games like X3:Reunion this is simply a must-have.

Eeeee?
If u don't have a problem running that game, it doesn't mean that other were so lucky.
I have terrible performance in this game on: C2D 3.2GHz, 4GB ram and 5770 1GB.
And as I stated above game w/o crack is almost unplayable.
@VGAdeadcafe - i will give it a shot, but I really doubt it will help.

Is it completely patched to the third or so update? it helps a bit though the game isn't the best in terms of technical proficiency. (Modified Gamebryo engine.) expansion looks like it'll improve upon it quite a bit but it'll probably have it's own issues instead.
(Also adds DX11 support and some other things.)

Yeah I've got it patched to version 1.3.something. I could swear 1.0 version was a bit faster.
Yes I bet new expaction will be bug fest. Small dev team is a small problem due the RPG-game-type complexity and smaller number of test rigs.
Normally I would be going to the store and buy addon becouse I really like this game. But I would like to play this game normaly...

I remember being weak at start, but later it went smooth as butter, let alone having trouble with a dragon form, which was totally an easy mode. Not sure how can you get it all difficult.
I don't necessarily agree with everything I say.

dunno.. it takes ages to kill those 26+ lvl flyers.. and you die in seconds to them.. i dont have problems fighting normal mobs anymore.. but there is like nothing you can do to flying guys.. they attacks auto homing.. i even got lvl 5 wyvern pet to help.. but that doesnt save me either.. just annoying
