I replied to their email baiscally with "WTF? seriously? I bought a key at your shop before. What you need it for?"

It happens quite often when you buy digital stuff. Like cdkeys, gift card codes, xbox live points etc. However, usually they just call you instead of asking for ID. I have only been asked for ID by a domain provider.

wow that's weird, I never had anything like that happen with g2play before and I ordered like 25 keys from them already over the past few months.

Already got a reply. Apparently they only want to confirm my name and city I live in.
Since they already got my name and my billing adress I'll just scan my ID black out everything else put a watermark in it and that makes me feel "quite" safe.

It's related to whether you have a verified paypal account I think and the country you're from I guess. You could easily order digital stuff with someone else's card you only need to read... an then that person can contest the payment via paypal so they deliver a key and also need to refund or they look bad.
At least that's what I think..

Ok, so apparently the whole problem was that the email I gave to g2play and the one I use for paypal aren't the same. Could have told me that form the start, couldn't you g2play? COULDN'T YOU?

I had to send a scan of my drivers license to G2play when my MW2 key was revoked. At the time they were waiting for replacement keys but it came within a couple of days and I have to say that they were very quick to reply to all my emails...
On the subject of L4D2 though - I guess you missed it but it's actually on midweek sale on Steam cheaper than G2Play. £15 in the UK compared to £17.10 on G2play.

So, trying to buy DoW2: CR from G2Play now, and they're asking the exact same thing they asked from Reklis. What do I do? I don't really feel comfortable sending them personal information.
Edit: So I emailed them, asking if there was another way to verify. They told me I can use Mass Payment for this purchase, but I've no idea what that is. <.<
