incase reloaded did miss anything as sudgested, also game starts straight away with no long wait when you execute the game file initially..
and my saves didnt seem to save, i saw the folder originally in my documents thinking that was all created there but then saw saves are in root, and I had none.. loaded game up and not able to load, had to start all over,. didnt have to do this with skidrow crack. |

Don't worry Ronhrin, your not alone. I'm having the same issue, and I've found several others having the same issue with SKIDROW release, so far the only common denominator is that we are all using Windows 7 x64.
Game won't launch. Press Launch, nothing happens.
Windows 7 x64
Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.0 Ghz
9800 GTX stock speed, Drivers 196.21
4GB RAM
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package installed
DirectX update installed

yeah im not on x64 right now due to using other apps needing 32bit... but does run fine on 32..

Yep, x64 here too. RLD works. Skidrow doesn't.

maybe people who can't get skidrow version to work are using over the top intrusive anti virus software or something like that, so when launcher needs starts main exe it gets blocked.
also worth mentioning that in skidrow release main exe is JustCause2_game.exe which might cause problems with nvidia SLI profile. you can just rename it to default JustCause2.exe and it should work. launcher is only needed 1st time anyway

I have seen similar files with other Steam releases. It could be down to the cracking method Skidrow uses for their repacks, but I think I've seen such files with other releases as well.  |

I downloaded the skidrow version since the razor was missing files, but I had no problems with the razor release... Is there some problem I may run in to later? I don't want to uninstall the razor and install the skidrow unless there is a real need to.

With SSAO or whatever enabled, there is lag in the controls. It's slight but quite noticeable...
1 and 2 are still amazing.

to fix skidrow rls not starting up issue - copy the skidrow crack folder from the iso to the desktop then drag and drop the crack files into the instal dir of the game.

In my case I used Nhancer and added the new executable, it works too.

damn i must suck at this kinda games ... failed like 6 times now in the beginner mission where you ride on that dudes car. now i don't know if i'm making something wrong here, but i grapple to other cars, kill the passengers, get driver out, hop back on top and grapple to next car. But EACH TIME some fucked up coincidence kills me ... im really starting to get majorly pissed off.

Grapple the car hold the grapple button down and point to somewhere else and watch it yank them places. Grapple on the gaurdrail of the bridge and it will yank them over the side.

For anyone having problems with the Skidrow release not starting in Win7 x64, I also had the exact same issue as everyone else is describing. I did get it working though. I think that the cracked files packaged with the ISO were messed up or something because I was able to download the cracked content separately and copy it all over what I got off the ISO and the game started right up.

So you downloaded the "crack only" wich is the exact same you can find on iso, copied it over the skidrow crack from the iso -> wich is the same as the crack only you downloaded then it worked?
