What the heck was wrong with Monkey Island 2? Monkey Island 1-3 rocked hardcore. The only remote LucasArts adventure "misfires" were Monkey Island 4, and to a lesser degree The Dig.

If you look closely, you'll see the box he shows isn't the box for Monkey Island 2 - LeChuck's Revenge, it's a box of the NEW Monkey Island series. They DO suck compared to the original 3 MI titles.

I love the point he makes about when the fanboys try to tell you it gets better... after 20 hours. Yeah, that's not going to make me want to play it more. Maybe back when I was a 14 year old kid with no girlfriend and had the time to play FF7 for 70 hours...
Anyway, good episode this week. Even with him being so busy apparently.

Hah I LOLd at that review, mainly cause I've actually been playing FF13 over the past week in which I only managed to squeeze in 8 hours. Fight after fight after fight after fight after fight then cutsence then fight after fight etc for fucks sakes it never stops its horrible and mashing one button to get through them all makes me wanna turn it off after an hour.

I agree, Final Fantasy (along with alot of other jrpgs) stopped being good after the SNES-days. FF IV -> FF VI was good games but then the series turned to shit more or less.
My favorite in the series is FF IV, but that is also due to sentimental reasons. It was the game that got me into emulation back in 1996 i think it was. I remember getting into emulation when the first emulator with sound! came out, i belive it was snes96. Then i switched to zsnes because i heard it could play breath of fire 2 (another great jrpg, the game would crash after the intro sequence with snes96)

Good memories.
Oddly enough, I don't much like FF games, except for FF9 which most of the ff fans seem to hate. Maybe it's because it's much more fantasy and much less sci-fi, I don't like sci-fi very much.
