I have sort of solved the slowdown problem I was having. Well not really solved but made it less apparent. I locked my FPS to 30 and the problem more or less went away. It appears to slow down once in a while but maybe it's just my mind playing tricks on me. However if it indeed is mind then it would appear that the game was trying to cap my game at 30 FPS. I also have v-sync off so I dunno what causes it. 30 is a bit too less for this thou IMO but atleast I can play til a patch comes along.
Oh and also does anyone know how to use commandline parameters with the SKIDROW release?

Yes, if you use the 3rd party app a few pages back. Makes flying.....perfect.

I had problems making the game run at all even running EXE as admin in Program Files, so installed it into C:\Games\Just Cause 2, i'm running win 7 32bit all working fine now.

anyone else get a low "bip!" kind of sound like once per hour of playing?
i get the same sound in saboteur so i'm curious to what it could be
in saboteur i thought it was an indicator sound for something in the game but now it plays in jc2 too

Checked that it isn't a beep from the internal speaker due to overheating?

also hard drives at least from seagate use to alert with bip's when it's over heated or if there is problem, just replaced one my self 2 weeks ago. |

I wonder if there woll be some kind of dx9 compatibility patch/hack. Would be nice to check this game out before AC2 release and i don't want to change os just yet.

it's not overheating as everything works perfectly - and i don't have seagate nor a beeper in my computer at all
i've only heard it in saboteur and jc2 at random (long) intervals through the soundcard
not a proper beep or alarm or anything melodic.. just a very short and silent "bip" sound

Frequency issue or driver related perhaps, Xonar cards for example can be a bit buggy when using GX mode (hardware.) and Realtek releases new drivers nearly every month.
(Creative have also been quite active, unsure what the game uses for it's audio system and how compatible it is with different soundcards and their drivers.)

Don't know if it's been covered but does anybody else get 2 white crate indicator arrows that sticky themselves on the screen randomly while playing?
Started hapening to me like 10 hours in.
Minor niggle they go away when you blow something up..just weird

people says they hear ghosts from speakers and tv and radio  |

Yeah I get them sometimes too, I think they get stuck when you select dual weapons with 2, just switching weapons makes them disappear.

Just copy the 'install' folder into your installiation directory and play
Use steam_api.dll in install folder for using the DLC
Use steam_api.dll in uninstall folder for when not using DLC
Copy content of saves folder to root folder to get back your save files. |

One thing i hate about the game is that the Island "police" is WAAAAAY too sensitive. I look at them funny and they send attack choppers after me.. I bump a cone slightly and cops from 2 km will come after me....
