This series stems mainly from the 90's from the SNK neo geo console (one of my all time favorite consoles)& samurai showdown series was one of the best 2D fighters on the console & is well renowned now as a classic,unfortunatly these days the move upto the latest consoles doesnt do these games justice,I would still much rather play samurai showdown on the NEOGEO
