Tomorrow it will be revealed that it was Ubisoft that started that twitter page. That wouldn't be a win for them though, I would rather say that it would be a fail.

Ok, but think about it. The only thing that they would prove is that they didn't try to sell the game, but, in fact, that the sole thing they were trying to prove is that they could make a protection that is not going to be cracked. And when you are trying to prove that you are the man and, in the process, toss around with your customers, I consider that to be a fail. The ones who really suffered in all of this were their customers. And, besides, they know that that DRM would get cracked eventually, they said it themselves.

But then some people who are on the fence thinking about if they should buy the game or not will wait for the supposed crack about to be released and then just be really annoyed at Ubisoft when they say it was just an April fools joke.
There's probably some 13 year old kid sat at home laughing his ass off because he made up this rumour.

Ofcourse the customers will suffer, it's always the customers who will suffer, no matter what business security we're talking about. But who's to blame.. would DRM even exist if it werent for pirates, no. DRM is just a natural thing that has evolved, just as locks for doors or cars or whatever. People arent to be trusted and companies like to make money, that's why they' exist in the first place, not because of charity. I dont find it THAT hard to not understand.
