I can't really tell the difference between the 2 except for the difference in view distance, AC1 didn't have this details popping in up close but AC2 has, I guess it's because AC2 has more detailed environments and the consoles can't deal with it but I do miss an option to increase the distance as my pc is more than able to run it.

I think the game looks good/better with higher Gamma. I set up Gamma with a testimage (actually a program) to 2.5 , although I don't know how accurate that is.

No, I agree. Check out textures and you'll notice most of them are lower res, distance is pop-uppy etc..

guys i never played ac1,so i dont get what happens in ac2 from the begining?
who are these guys and whos Ezio and why im playing him?

Damn damn damn. Using the fake server thing. But i cant remember the password i just keyed something in and played a lot for two days. Now my story, doesnt appear when i start the game with wrong pass.... Anyone knows how can i get out of this mess, since the saves are on the pc and the fake server too? Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

dont want to go 2,5 cities Sad back

I could try to explain (AC1 is actually very simple), but this is better:

The saves are in "Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\storage".
I read somewhere that you can rename the folder with random letters to "ZW11" and the saves will reappear, I don't know how that works cause I haven't tried it myself. Or you could make a new username/pw and then copy your old saves to the new account folder, again I don't know if it will work, worth a try though.

You will have a probably 2xfolders something like 'bWFkazkx' in the "Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\storage", sort the folders by date, and the oldest folder should be your Save you want, just COPY it to the newer dated folder..

Make a backup of that storage folder first just to make sure you get it the right way round.

"Create" a new login and password and copy the savegames to the new folder that is created.

I had a similar bug,but it was more like after killing an archer and new one spawned. I killed him and then a new one and so on and so on.
He kept spawning indefinitely...had to load a previous checkpoint. Very Happy
Happened when I had to kill those 9 generals or w/e...

someone who also use the fake server? i got stuck when Davinci repair my blade and i should select it and the game seams to be frozen but i can swap weapons and enter game menu...

Yeah I know that. Can't access Uplay, but I tried savegame with Auditore Tomb unlocked and it worked. I think it should be the same with other tombs. I wonder how exacly this unlocking works (Black Edition maps exacly). If someone got apology e-mail from Ubi with Black Edition content unlocked: what exacly you got? It unlocked automatically at your Ubi profile or what?

Leonardo his asking for you to test your weapon. You got to press the key for that weapon. You need to press 2 if i remember correctly.

Thanks Kouga, madk9 and timester. Problem solved, as one of you said, was just a matter of choosing a new pass, starting a new game and pasting the old saves inside the folder newly created. Rolling Eyes

I got a compensation mail from Ubisoft with a unlock code for the Black Edition maps. Unfortunately it's a unique code that is tied in with my uplay account so it's not really usable for you, otherwise I would gladly share it with you, sorry Smile

Ubi reps will tell you it's not cracked. It's merely a workaround...Protection still holds.

Anal retentive nerd: a Crack is the removal of the protection, this is emulating an external function and thus qualifies as a circumvention and not a crack.

To me the game is cracked since we can play it for free, offline.
