The additional powers are coming from the unlocked Loyalty powers. So no, Kasumi it's just another object on the ship, just like Zaeed. Though she had a lot more potential then Zaeed.

I was referring to the loyality unlock and I couldn't remember the exact name. Didn't actually tried it.
Only usefull powers I've used so far are the extra protection from either the Geth Shield(Legion) or Fortification(Krogan). When my shield go down and I'm loosing health rapidly it's nice to have one of those kick in.

yes but you said flashbang. i was making a reference to nudity and fornication.
aaaaaaaanywho, finally started my third playthrough and did the kasumi mission.
i liked it. it was an interesting mission, with some cool stuff to see... was a nice little distraction.. fun little bonus, and heaps of cash (which wont be useful to some, but definately for me since im just starting a new playthrough)
had this been free (which it was ), id say it was great. nothing massively earthshattering, but a fun addition.
had i paid the $9, is it? for this... id have been very upset and how much id gotten ripped off though. this should have been a free dlc, it just didnt bring anything worthy of paying for... but for free, it was a fun bonus and i enjoyed it...
really want a proper mission pack though, with some meaningful story and gameplay additions, rather than just a meet and a loyalty mission... but yeh, i think its great how they mixed it up, giving us a little undercover spy mission mixed in with the combat.

and now ive finished the firewalker dlc.
what was the point? why give us a vehicle then give us a handful of small little maps to play with it on? i mean yeah ok ur not going to be able to revamp the game so that its integrated into the gameplay but wow. we had 2 'races and 2 'combat' ones. i thought it was going to lead to something interesting, but then... wow.. an orb. no vision, no explanation, no story or 'universe' contribution...
ive seen a lot of shit talked about the zaeed and kasumi dlcs... i dont think those deserve it (well maybe the kasumi one because you had to PAY for it) but this firewalker one... id say its worse than the shitty armor dlcs because its such a massive waste of potential and effort.
add a vehicle then go out of your way to do NOTHING with it.. hats off to that one
oh, and was anyone else surprised that a mission called 'geth incursion' had no fucking geth in it at all!? i thought i was gonna be going into a big shooty mission... not only no geth but i didnt even get to shoot anything, it was just some shitty race mission and to make it even more frustrating, i timed-out trying to find the 10th marker

Finally got around to the doing the Kasumi DLC. I actually really enjoyed the mission. It sucks she's such a bare-bone Zaeed type companion after the fact, but the mission itself was intriguing. Not just going in somewhere, and shooting shit up. Hopefully if there is a Liara DLC, it's more like this one.

The unlocker from Mass.Effect.2.DLC-SH3P4RD works with the DLC contained within it.

Sorry but I'm not going to wade through 130 pages.
I installed and am playing the game on my new rig. My question has to do with the cinematics, specifically the scenes when we see spaceships between gameplay.
The game itself is beautiful but those scenes are crap, blurry, grainy or whatever - just crap. Is that the same for everyone?

third times ze charm... recruited morinth... feel a little bad about it. ill miss samaras jugs, but atleast morinths are just as nice.
nah i dunno... feel bad about offing samara because i did like the character, but i am curious how morinth will turn out in the third game (if she sticks around...which she'd BETTER... otherwise wtf was the point of ME2 if my 'team' splits up?!)... im wondering if she really is evil, or juss doin her thang and is a product of how shes been treated by samara...
at the moment im doing that stupid VI mission.. you know... where you enter that space station where the VI's gone and killed everyone... i feel like raging on it... anyone else think it was a fucking lazy stupid shit-arse mission? easily the worst in the game. it builds up like a horror mission, but ends up being a whole lot of fucking nothing with no element of danger or even 'story' to it, to have made it all worth while. lazy lazy lazy. even the aspects of the mission seem fucking lazy... im locked in a room and deflecting a laser to make some random bullshit'o'tron machine blow up, suddenly unlocks the door? WHAT? im locked in a room because the VI says im dangerous or some shit... but i have access to TWO magic buttons that unlock the room. you're taking the fucking piss. no hacking... no puzzle... just hit buttons! sigh. fucking lazy. and then the mission is finished by walking into the VI room and use the keyboard to shut it down. A FUCKING SCIENTIST COULDNT HAVE DONE THAT?! worst mission in the game because its just so fucking empty and stupid. how the fuck could a deadly VI not only be turned into such a placid empty threat, but also end up as being such a boring mission? raaaaaaaaaage
well, back to the game. im pretty close to the end (third time through so i know)... gonna try bringing legion on tali's loyalty mission... should be good for a laugh, no?
edit:
and once again my squad gets wiped out during the fucking steam run. FUCKING STEAM!!! fuck em. fuckers can just lie there while i do the mission.. FUCKING STUPID MISSION ARGGHHHHHHHHhhhhhh

bumpity bump.
new dlc plans apparently going to be rrrrrrrevealed early this week. hope its something decent, not a new dlc that gives you the ability to wear a sideways baseball cap...
having a hard time finishing the game on my 3rd playthrough (first with having a load from me1)... feeling really conflicted... im finding myself liking cerberus more and more. the game would have you think theyre total cunts, but the more i play and the more attention i pay to the story, the less and less im convinced... if anything, the council and the alliance are more cunt'ish than cerberus is... so im not sure how im going to end the game...

Yeah, Cerberus has always come across like the 'for the greater good/at any cost' organization to me. I guess to support them, it comes down to how far you're willing to cross the line.
Also, new DLC? Hope it is the Liara one they've been hinting about forever and not some more outfits. Speaking of DLC, I've played the Kasumi three times so far. I love that mission. Really annoyed she wasn't a full fledged party member. Though she does make a lot more comments than Zaeed.

well heres my thoughts...
were told about all the shitty nasty things cerberus has done, but whenever you hear discussions from cerberus's side about this... and even when you hear recorded messages and such (like jacks loyalty mission) it sounds like cerberus has factions that run renegade, but when TIM finds out about them, they get shut down quickly. to me it sounds like yes, they will do what they need to do, but there still seems like there are some boundaries that TIM wont cross.
and i dont think theyre about human dominance... the more i think about it, they are about looking after human interests.. making sure that we keep up with, and are not abandoned or looked down on by, the other races.
they arent human first, they care about their members (i remember one bit of dialog about a guys family stuck on a colony, and cerberus paid to evac them), and theyre quite happy to work with other races
i just dont feel like, given the situation, that abandoning them - after ive seen the good theyve done (alliance and the council dont even seem to give a shit about what me and my crew did, or the obvious threat) - feels like the wrong, and the underhanded, thing to do.
i ditched cerberus the last 2 times i played... the more i think about it, dispite all the hate other races, and even humans, have for them - i really believe that cerberus is ultimate a good organisation with good goals and values, that is spoiled by some rogue factions and a rather proactive and aggressive method to completing its tasks.
Spoiler: | and, for the first time, i think im going to save the station at the end of this play-through. in the past i didnt think cerberus could be trusted with the tech, but now im thinking that a: theres proof there to finally make the damn council wake up, and b: any edge i can get in fighting them has got to help, and c: cerberus might be able to actually do some good with this tech without abusing it.... jack and legion are just going to have to suck it up over that choice
i believe that cerberus is a good organisation, and going in to me3 i think im going to support them. |

Well Miranda wasn't too happy if you trusted the Illusive Man with the tech in the end (most, if not all of the team wasn't if I recall correctly). I assumed that she would know more about his doings than I did at this point, so I was wary of giving the base away.
Another thing that affected my decision was the talk with Legion - how it was dangerous to be playing around with technology you don't understand and how the Reapers controlled our path that way (also brought up in ME1) - this was kinda how I felt about the whole thing myself.
I suspect that the fight will be harder without the tech in ME3 though. Or at least I think there should be some consequences. Otherwise it would look like the Paragon path is the right way to go, but there shouldn't be one "right" way to do things.
Also there is a game limitation with Cerberus. They seem to have the right intentions, but you are not really allowed to shape their course in any way, should they handle the situation not how you expected. Sort of support them for who they are are, or just don't. Something for ME3 to build upon I guess...
