Toronto, Canada - February 15, 2005 - The Adventure Company today announced The Moment of Silence, an investigative thriller for Windows®, has gone gold for North America. This title will ship to retailers Wednesday, February 23, 2005.

The Moment of Silence is set in New York City in 2044. Players step into the role of Peter Wright, an advertising executive currently heading up the Government's 'Freedom of Speech' campaign. When a heavily armed SWAT team storms his neighbor’s apartment, Peter must uncover the truth behind his mysterious disappearance as he becomes drawn into the deceptive worlds of corruption and power.

The game marries fully-rendered, animated backdrops with a traditional and intuitive adventure interface, resulting in one of the best-looking examples of adventure gaming in today’s market. Real-world locations are mixed with fictitious environments to create immersive and incredibly varied worlds.

The Moment of Silence offers more than eight hours of professional voice talent for heart-pounding drama that sounds as good as it looks. Traditional adventure puzzles are fused with dialogue choices and moments of high drama, putting the game on par with some of cinema's greatest thrillers, where action sequences are integrated to create a constantly challenging adventure.

Games features

• Unique, highly immersive investigative thriller story
• Multiple choice dialogues
• A cast of more than 35 true-to-life 3D characters to interact with
• 75 realistic locations
• 30 minutes of full-screen video
• Lip synchronization using phonetic voice analysis allowing real-time facial expressions
• Motion captured animation and dynamic dialogue scenes featuring evolving camera work
• Intuitive interface and mouse-driven navigation

The Moment of Silence is developed by 'House of Tales', and has an ESRB rating of ‘T' for Teen. Visit http://www.adventurecompanygames.com/tac/moment_of_silence/index.html for more information, or to download the North American trailer.

Maybe not...all the latest Dreamcather and TAC games came without any kind of protection. Keep in mind that in Europe TMOS was released by Digital Jesters, a long time Starforce whore, with the exception of The Case of Silver Earring, every other game DJ released is Starforce. I really hope that Dreamcatcher won't have Starforce, maybe they learned their lesson after all the problems Superpower 2 had, even Gamespot and IGN drawed attention in their reviews on this matter.

well they wouldn't specify that the EU version has starforce...... it would just say it has starforce 3 protection or it just wouldn't bring it up at all.

Well usually when demos come out it has some code in the EXE of what protection the game will have when it comes out, I cant see no signs of SF3 in the american demo so it could be a good guess its not going to have SF3.

Yay!

There is also some NOCD by the Pwz guys but don't think it works with SF3 version of the game

The game is in stores only starting from today, so let's give groups circumstances...but the way the groups are nowadays, pathetic, I'm not hoping for a release soon. Where's Robots, where's MVP Baseball, where's Sims 2 University, Constantine (ISO releases, not lame clones)...and these are only Safedisc or Securom, what about Starforce games? Where are you Immersion, Fairlight, Deviance...
