If you read his posts from years ago, you would see he is a level designer and worked for many companies. I wouldn't see a point to create a lie based on 4 years of posting on that forum... That would be the longest lie I would have seen here

SC5; Splinter Cell Conviction. fifth splinter in the series. Never worked on silent hunter.
I'm not the only dev visiting this forum. Most of us just don't bother posting for obvious reasons shown right here.
That's the saddest part of my job; I'm working countless hours to make a good game for gamers like you and when we reach out to listen and talk to you we get a bunch of retarded replies about how proud you are of not having enough money to pay for a game.
I've been downloading tons of pirated games for years but each and every game I enjoy I go out and buy it just so the team knows their product is appreciated and so they can continue to work on more, better or worse, games.
No one on here should care about the bonus I might make; you should care about the games you wanna play and the best way to do so is showing a little respect to the people who make them.
Note to self: come up with a good sig.

Quite a few people here do the same, actually, but for me at least it sadly seems that every year there are fewer and fewer games good enough to warrant a purchase.

I quite enjoy AC2. I won't be buying AC2.
Things are not as simple as they used to anymore. Now you have to consider shit DRM as part of the package.

Well, on top of the retarded protection, we have a shitty game streamlined for accessibility for mainstream, so "Malveous" should really be crying lol. And if he really works with Ubisoft, he can punch Max Retard in the face.

I won't punch Max in the face. He won't be around Montreal extremely soon. Conviction is much more open compared to what the older splinter games are. It's the evolution of gaming; due to the fact that gaming is now socially accepted, consoles are the shit and internet is in each and every home. The profit is in mainstream accessible games. Deep interesting, long, challenging and complex PC games don't turn up a good profit anymore. It's sad since they happen to be games I love.
Conviction is not a bad game; it really has excellent ingredients such as light & shadow, PVE and Mark & Execute. It's also very dynamic and fast paced compared to the older ones. If you're expecting an old Splinter Cell with updated graphics you will be deceived.
What really pisses me off is how short the games have become. Conviction is part of that and it's sad they wouldn't let us have all the original maps in.
Now, about Orbit (the drm). I agree it sucks; it forces you to be online all the time when being online all the time is something that's not reliable. However it's pretty close to the future of gaming; this is the piracy protection that works the best so far. Legit gamers are not experiencing such a bad situation. This is only the result of overblown press. What sucks is that Ubi is selling full priced games with this system on when they should charge less for a system that's new and still being improved on. On top of that, I don't think Ubisoft's PC market is large enough to have that whole system installed on their PC games.
However, back when Ubisoft was using Starforce; everyone in the world complained about it and Ubi removed it. If Orbit is as bad as the press is mouthing it is then trust me Ubi will remove it.
Back when Steam started it required you to be online to start the game and everybody screamed to the big scandal and today nobody gives a fuck.
Ubi's DRM is one large pill to swallow and once it's swallowed we won't even remember it pissed us off.
To sum up: Orbit sucks and is not worth it for Ubisoft's PC market however it's a good system and I believe it will remain and improve. I've had Settlers 7 since it came out and never encountered a problem with Orbit. At work, I played the final PC version of SC5 with Orbit working and nothing went wrong as well.
EDIT:
Last night was the launch party and I must say seeing your leads this wasted is something I envied for the last two years.
Note to self: come up with a good sig.

Dude, we've seen the gameplay videos. This game isn't the evolution of anything. Well, except the "mark and execute look at me win" autoplay. If I change my mind after playing the game, I will post as much.
Not all modern games are short, Bioware rpgs, the witcher, GTA4, even AssCreed2 are long enough.

splinter cell=own all games in series, but crazy drm=no purchase
Settlers 7=love it, shit drm=no purchase.

What a bunch of wankers. The guy agrees with you all about the shitty DRM and the length of the game, all you guys have are the standard "you're the enemy FU!?!?!" bullshit.
AC2 ran perfectly fine on an Ati card here, it was a good port. Only fuck up were those icons.

And the low viewing distance on shadows and textures which by the way was a lot better in AC1 though not perfect...

You remember wrong. At least compared to AC2. LoD in AC2 is worse too than in AC1.

think of it like when u get a chance to meet a politician. You can tell him how u really feel where as when u just email him u get some auto response back. In this scenario the poster is the politician and the auto response is ubi.

Orbit is much worse than StarForce (and less efficient as many Ubi SF games took years to be cracked vs a couple of weeks for AC2), not only it forces you to be online all the time but it's very intrusive... SF was just a CD/DVD check with low level drivers...
and the SF or SecuROM activation just requires you to be online once at registration.
Also what about when you travel, are in an aiport lounge, or in an hotel room... or even for gamers from country where DSL is not widespread...
Forcing online for an online game is acceptable, but forcing online for Assassin's Creed 2 or Silent Hunter V which are solo games, that's just nuts!
@craig2 it's 5th SC, the handheld SC ; essentials does really count.

Wanker is the equivalent of 'whiner' imo, that's been used to death on nforce.
