It's so obvious iNathan is raging cuz MS canned the game on PC and thus his uber PC won't be able to run the game... Even though the game is running in 320x240, it doesn't mean it will suck... Just like SCC, play the game before making assumptions... Oh wait you won't be able to play it without a X360, just like SCC (for now, no PC version till the end of the month), too bad.
I'll think about you when i'll enjoy it very much on my HDTV in 320x240

It's not a X1900XTX, it's based on the X1800 chip but it's still not a X1800... More like a X1800 on steroid, specially since the xbox360 has something special about the VRAM I don't remember about which helps a lot and makes the GPU a lot better in some parts than its PC counterpart

The usual lame response, because what else do you have? You get a "follow the light" linear shit at sub-HD resolution - what's not to like? 
I love how you people take pride in an exclusive game, that could have been so much more instead of what you get. If you were to get the original promise on 360, then yes, I would be raging for not getting it on PC. So instead of everyone raging against making this games for idiots, you somehow take pride in its exclusivity? 
But why do I even bother, you liked Conviction; perhaps you are precisely the reason why they made this game they way it is.  |

Of course. The original Conviction (dubbed "hobo Sam"  ) was supposed to be an open world, and crowd was to be one of the new stealth mechanics. A stealth Assassin's Creed, if you will.

But just read the article, Remedy's response is just pathetic. First they rage against the news releasing uncomplimentary, non-doctored screenshots. Then they cry why people would actually expose them for their ridiculous resolution. Then they try to somehow make it sound like they are doing some rendering magic to make it look much better. Anyone who knows that much about rendering knows this is baloney.  |

That's right, was thinking about the eDRAM
and @iNathan : yeah, I forgot you played the game through already so you know it sucks ass, and you know how linear it is, because you played it through too. Oh wait, you did actually play something : you played on YouTube the first 10min of the game gameplay, that's why you know so much about this game, my bad.
K then, I believe you, this game is gonna sux ass.
PS : How do you know the game has been stripped down for the X360 ? What if the game was so boring, had no purpose because it was too open and the devs couldn't handle the story this way, that they decided to make it more linear ? Just saying... but the old videos looked like this to me, as scripted as the HL2 E3 beta for the wow factor 
What if they saw how much people on nforce hated Assassins Creed 1 because it was too boring wandering in the city doing the same stupid missions all and over again (and btw, even if AC2 is a lot better than AC1, some people here on nforce are still bitching about how boring it is but I think UBI did a good job) ?
So many what if, only you can answer, you that played the game all through already, you that works for Remedy and know all the decisions that were made about this game during all these years... Damn you know so much, when I'm a grown up i wanna be you !

Actually it's a R600 prototype (which was later used for HD 2000/3000 series). More advanced then the X1000 series but not quite as efficient as the HD 2000.
The black magic you refer to is the 4MB eDRAM, which gives a huge amount of bandwidth for postprocessing. |
