The engine has already been patched 6 times, don't expect much further improvement.

I'm not getting "butt raped". I'm running 30ish FPS, pretty damn playable. Oh wait, you guys with the monster computers don't think 30 FPS is playable, right.[/quote]

I don't mean that 30 FPS is unplayable. I got stuttering in this game , even i got 40 fps and up+. Game overall is smooth , but stuttering is annoying.
But yeah in mine earlier post i say that i got only 30 fps on HIGHEST, cause some user got more fps than me , on lower pc , so that surprise me.
But now i know all , he was just play on HIGH settings ( Not Highest or very high like me).

Yeah....
Anyways, when I played on my C2D this was before many of the "fix patches", maybe that's why I was getting poor performance a while back?

I'm running with the latest patch, yes. All stuff at High or Very High, night shadows Off, sliders at around 30-35.

It's interesting. Everything on max with everything enabled (20-30fps, it's ok playable) but game utilizes my 5850 at 60% and CPU about 40% (Q6600@3GHz).
Is it normal in this game? Using -disableimposters -fullspecaudio -forcehighqualitymirrors -norestrictions -nomemrestrict -noprecache that JB posted.

Just finished Lost and Damned. I thought the story and game play was great. The only thing that sucks is that Spoiler: | you lose your club house at the end. It's too bad you can't keep it, or rebuild it. |
I don't know what people are talking about when it comes to GTAIV saves. I had no problem backing up my saves and using them. When you reinstall the game, log into live and it will make a new user folder here : C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames with a folder name like user_e00002b85a00b3b1. Just copy your backed up saves from your folder and paste them in the new folder. Worked fine for me.

Why not download the Grand.Theft.Auto.Episodes.from.Liberty.City-RELOADED release?
Look for "rld-elca.par2".

Well, if you are put off by the bad performance, then it is almost not. Otherwise they are fun stories. I liked Hay Tony more because it is more comic oriented, while I didn't really like the Lost & Damned.

I downloaded it too, but if I had to download it again after a bad release, it would be quite frustrating, I imagine.

Regarding TBOGT...
I wonder if in real life if you dance with a random stranger "successfully" then do you get to bang her in the dance club washroom ?!
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Yes sir... Doesn't matter if its a local offline account or if you logged into live, either way it makes a folder in the directory in C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames. I can confirm this because I bought GTAIV and logged into live and I downloaded RELOADED's Episodes from Liberty City and made a local offline account and both folders are there. So it doesn't matter if you log into live or make a local offline account.
