Who gives shit, since lan doesn't use ubi servers and works over tunngle/hamachi.
Hating the game on single player so far. 3rd mission and the only think that keeps me playing is the story/fisher, realy like what they did to the character and the overall grittiness of it. Bad parts being is that the game gives no way to complete some missions by stealth, only a or b, with both being guns blazing. It's also ridiculously easy on realistic.

Yes, tested all the modes and they were working fine, good look getting everything setup properly, between myself and friends only a couple of us can connect to each other etc, plenty of port forwarding etc to do.
Using Tunngle we've gotten it working though, so use that for your virtual LAN/VPN.

I think the UBIDRM will vary in challenge "Level" with each game. Take Splinter Cell, it's a very linear game as opposed to Assassin's Creed 2 so it's not that hard finding all values for a server emu in SC but in AC2 we have seen how people have to explore a lot of territory inside the game to find all values.
But, the more experience the crackers get with this drm the easier it will be to make some apps to help with cracking future titles.

Anyone figured out how to increase mouse sensitivity? I can't find the key config files. They're probably embedded in save games. Found these so far. From an WinXP system.
Video settings:
c:\Profiles\All Users\Application Data\Ubisoft\Conviction\
SaveGames:
c:\Profiles\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\storage\SKIDROW\
Asus, B550, 3700X, 3060, 32GB.

Skidrow's release works just fine. Played through the first couple of levels and had no issues.

Does the story in this follow Double Agent directly? I haven't played that one yet.

Wow this game is one bundle of disappointment. This clearly has a case of bad porting. My PC is of average quality at best and yet I was able to play AC2 on medium settings and get an average of 25FPS. With this thing, I'm barely getting 15 even on low res with the lowest settings possible... Not to mention the game itself is mostly craptastic... If you're not sure you want to download this then my advice is don't waste your bandwidth (if you care about that)...
SKIDROW rocks for cracking this so fast though!

Well , in terms of perfomance it's sort of ok for me ( Running at 1280x1024 - the max of my display , no AA or AF , but everything else is on or max ) on a 9800gt and e6750 @ 3.2ghz and i get 30-40 fps most of the times.
I have problems with using scopes though , since my perfomance falls down to 15-20 fps as soon as the zoom takes place - reminds me of double agent since that used to do the same thing.

Getting LAN working is very hit and miss, but I've gotten it working for most of my friends by suggesting the following:
Quote: | Multiplayer works, make sure you do the following.
I've tested the Skidrow Release and the CloneDVD using the Skidrow crack, both work.
---------------------------
Open the Tunngle port:
11155
---------------------------
Open the Splinter Cell ports:
9103, 9100, 10196 (UDP outbound/inbound)
80, 3081, 3105 (TCP outbound)
22350 - 22380 (TCP inbound)
---------------------------
Remove any Ubisoft related items in your host file:
Windows\system32\drivers\etc\Hosts
---------------------------
Disable any Firewall(s) you've running. (this includes the Windows Firewall)
---------------------------
If you join a server and see an error instantly it means there's most likely a problem with the person hosting the game.
If you join a server and you see "Joining..." and then an error it means there's most likely a problem on your side.
---------------------------
If you're trying to play with a friend, you're probably better off joining another lobby, it will be much easier to find each other's games like that.

That it works for some and not for others but that's most likely because people tend to fail to follow instructions.
But yeah I probably should have worded that better, I meant the LAN is hit and miss, not an actual issue with the multiplayer gameplay.

Shrug, like I said, it's hit and miss, I gave those instructions to my friends and three of them got it working and one of them didn't.
