I did the towel trick to my old xbox, it worked for an hour and red ringed again so don't expect it to work for long. You can fix it properly for around 3 dollars.

If you wanna fix your xbox in a more reliable way than the towel trick, take it apart, take heatsinks off, push down on the GPU hard then turn the xbox on.
Leave on for about 15 seconds, then apply some new thermal paste to the GPU and CPU, then replace heatsinks and put the xbox back together.
This probably isn't a permenant fix, and might even break your xbox further. It's worked for me on all the ones i've done it for though.
