Demo is surprisingly unspectacular. While Burnout asks you to use your car as a race vehicle AND as a weapon, this game feels like a very traditional racer. You drive well to fill your power-meter and then just press A or B in the right moment to have the game take out opponents for you.
Taking them out yourself in Burnout feels much more satisfying.

watched demo gameplay, looks awesome! what wasn't good about demo?

i'd love it if you could get weapons / shoot people etc. in a mature racer like this!

game is very very fun. played demo multiple times (like 10 lol). i like ideas they have in this game. if you charge 1 bar you can use it to open shortcuts on track for a few seconds. if other cars try to follow your shortcut and arent fast enough they get crushed as it closes.

also i love how you can permanently alter track during the race, blow objects around the track etc.

above poster isnt entirely clear how you blow up opponents. you dont blow up them directly, but by using track as a weapon. its as satisfying as using your car imo. i dont know why would anyone want this game be like burnout. if you want burnout style just play burnout lol. just my 2c

Nice, just watched some vids on this game and it looks amazing!! How does the weapon track work? Is that only a MP component or is it also with SP AI? Cannot wait to try this out tonight!

play the demo ASAP !!!
but if your lazy its a Action Racing Game similar to Carmageddon without blood played in 12 episodes (maps) that have 72 events and you drive with one of 25 cars

in few words :
plays like they last game "Pure" but now you drive Cars on non-lineal maps and have crazy explosions after stunts
ps. if you care about graphics then wait for the PC version... in motion it looks fine but when you slow down and the blur effects are gone you see the ugly no AA low rez textures, but if your PC sucks get this one

I didn't bother with the demo of this but kinda wish I had now.
I was very pleasantly suprised at how this game plays out. Like murt said, plays similar to Burnout (I guess coz of the big explosions and crashes).

Definitely worth a verb at least if not just for the game mode air attack whereby you're racing road a track and a helicopter is targetting the ground around you throwing missiles down like rain. Novel ideal but plays out quite well.

How representative was the demo? For me the demo felt like "Burnout for old people": you don't need to destroy the other cars yourself but just need to press a button when it pops up above an opponent, kind of like replacing combat with a quick-time-event cut scene.
How is the full game with more tracks and career mode?

yup, that's basically it. you fill the bar(s) and then slam something/blow something up. but there are also those massive powerplays which cost 3 bars and make a whole ship/bridge/tower/etc explode and change the course plus you can use a bar for opening up a shortcut

there are some other gameplay modes in the career though besides normal race/knockout:
survival: pass 18-wheelers dropping explosive barrels
detonator: time trial/scripted showcase of a track, beat the time while more or less every powerplay gets triggered
*forgot the name*: you get chased by a helicopter firing missiles at you

imo those 3 are much more fun than the races, especially when you unlock payback mode, which lets you shoot down the heli Very Happy

I prefer their drifting mechanism. You can either use brake then accelarator or just come of the accelerator then slam it down again. Using the latter you can get some huge drifts going.

Trucks on the road drop oil cans blue and red ones, the blue ones damage you or push you aside the red ones kill you instantly, very hectic and when you make a drift just between a few red ones you get such a rush.
Also Singleplayer/career mode is a lot of fun been playing this now for 5 hours straight and i normally dont play any race games, this is burnout but bigger and better.

What sucks is that you have to unlock so much stuff. I just wanted to play it with a friend, but you only have 3 cars and 3 tracks unlocked at the beginning.
So it got boring after 30 minutes or so.

I know the point of unlocking is that you have to advance in the game, but I don't WANT to play singleplayer, I just wanted to have some MP fun...

its shit because they mimicked Megarace 1:1 and forgot to add any movies in-between with some funny commentator that would comment on the chaos ... and they music sucked HARD
