I have no idea how the game is but seeing as Lionhead are now working on the sequel I guess we won't see this game on PC.

I enjoyed the hell out of that game on the 360.
I was hoping to see it on PC and have the extra content like that did on the first Fable.

Sad

Microsoft may have accidentally confirmed a PC version for Lionhead's Fable III, after releasing the box art for the sequel. Laughing

Quote:

As you can see, Fable III's pretty cover - unless it's a horrible, painful error - will sport a big "Only on Xbox 360 & Windows" stamp, which sort of suggests a PC version is on the way.

The original Fable of course made its way to PC via The Lost Chapters, but so far where Fable II's concerned mouse and keyboard gamers haven't had a look in.

We'll fire off some e-mails and get you an answer.

I have to admit that I laughed at the word "accidentally"...but we have to face the fact that releasing something for PC nowadays is basically considered an accident Crying or Very sad

edit: *update*

Microsoft's responded to a Fable III Windows box art accidentally put out this afternoon.

A company spokesperson told CVG: "We've made no official announcements but please stay tuned."

IMHO is just plain stupid release fable III without releasing fable II. "Hey, we'll give you Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring and ROTK, but fuck you if you haven't seen Two Towers".

no its not stupid idea to release Fable III on Pc without the second part on it becaouse if anyone even read, saw screens, videos etc. from Fable I or Fable II or even fable III(yes, documentaries from lionhead or interview with Peter count too) then You saw that these games no have anything in common beside (different a bit version of) Albion

They're not direct sequels but it would be fun to have Fable 2 on PC regardless although opinions are quite varied. Very Happy
(You play as some descendant of the original hero and that's pretty much it due to the long time gap between each title or something like that from what I read.)

EDIT: Ah I didn't know that, interesting.

You can use your fable 2 save to continue in fable 3, so I'd say that's a connection right there.

Its funny want they will do on the PC, because Fable 3 is a straight continuation of the story from Fable 2 , its like you would release Mass Effect 2 on PC but not part one

I've got no problem with it at all, since I beat Fable 2 on a friends 360.

But it's still retarded as hell if they release the 3rd one without releasing the 2nd one first.

I'm just glad they release it on PC tho, since we need more RPG's like Fable 1/2, but still, releasing 3 on PC without Fable 2 on PC it's just dumb, well Peter give us a fucking surprize and release both of them once Laughing Fable 3 + 2 in one fucking pack, Ahh fack smoking aint that good.

I wouldn't get my hopes up for Fable 3 on the PC guys, remember that it will use the Natal stuff and will probably depend on it so I wonder how it would translate to pc...

I haven't even watched a single gameplay video aside from the E3 demonstration just not to hype myself up. I really enjoyed the first game so I'm sure this is also good and I'm expecting it to come this year Christmas for PC. I hope so.

Fable 3 PC confirmed with Collector's Edition

Quote:
Microsoft's just confirmed the much-rumoured PC version of Fable III.

The Windows version will be available in Standard and Limited Collector's Editions and will retail for £39.99 both in retail and as a download exclusively on Games for Windows Live, says MS.

The 360 version meanwhile will retail for £49.99 as standard, and £59.99 for the Limited Edition box.

The Limited Collector's Edition is set to offer downloadable content and in-box items wrapped up in a distinctive box created in the likeness of a book from.

Contents include (In Microsoft's words):

"A new quest: Uncover the mystery of the haunted forests of Silverpines and earn the legendary sword, Wolfsbane, deadly against wolves and balverines.

"Exclusive location: Unlock a new region, ideal for settling down with a family and discovering new treasures.

"Fable III playing cards: Created by Lionhead, these cards depict every type of character in "Fable III," including Heroes, royals, rebels and villains from across Albion and beyond.

"Guild Seal Coin: The coin features a Good side (blue) and Evil side (red) to assist players in making critical decisions that will impact the fate of the world forever.

"A new dog breed: Renowned for its loyalty, the Boxer is a brave canine companion worthy of greatest Queens and Kings.

"One unique outfit: Unearth one male and female outfit from the mysterious, faraway land of Aurora, a new destination in your "Fable III" adventures."

Fable III's set to be released later this year.

Fable 2 wasn't nearly as good as the first one tho so no big loss - and it's not like these games have any direct continuity when it comes to plot.
