Don't know actually as I used the Pearl-colored one for almost the entire game. I did break the white one in Mexico though and the Black in Blackwater, but I have seen them all in all three areas. But that might be because they have been "unlocked" already

Have you been living under a rock for the last four years? Almost all PS3 games use that "vaseline filter" (technical name: Quincunx). While the X360 GPU can do MSAA with ease the PS3 GPU can't so most developers use that blur to soften aliasing. It has been covered a lot on sites like digital foundry. |
Maybe I'm just not as anal as you, I have tons of PS3 games that I also have on the 360 and guess what?...........I end up playing them on the PS3 as the graphical difference is so minor to be almost non-existent and I don't want to constantly listen to a hair dryer on turbo.
The reality is that the PS3 and the 360 handle graphics differently and if the game is simply ported from the 360 it will suffer and suffer badly but it's not due to the fact that the console is somehow 'poorer' than the 360 but that some developers don't know how to code well on it.
Anyway, I will find out myself in a couple of days....

As for the 'comparison screen shots' I have paused the game swung the camera around and produced the same artifacts in the 360 version so it's just more anal bs.

Can someone please explain to me how that fucking duel crap works? I'm at a duel and i keep hitting the goddamn trigger but Marston won't shoot.
P.S. This game has shit tutorials.

You place your shots with RB. I dont' really understand wtf is going on during hte duels either. I noticed if i whip it out too late or too soon i always get shot. If I wait too long inbetween shots I get beat too... got something to do with timing and the meter on the right but I don't know exactly how it works.
Anyway draw with the left or right trigger, place your shots with RB and if you time them right your bar fills up the fastest. Works for me 99% of the time.

hah, have you noticed some of the opponents do that matrix shit and bend sideways? it was like they were getting harder and started doing that. thats when i noticed pressing RB too quickly got me shot up. i do wish the tutorials weren't just a little black square in the corner of the screen. hard to pay attention to it at times.

Yes not just for the duels but for everything, its hard to read the tutorials and explanations when playing the game i think because its always in the corner of the screen.

Thing is, I've only killed 3 guys while dueling. And I had a lot of duels. I mostly aim for the hand/gun (for the higher fame score) and that took one shoot. I've failed a few times, even though i did the same thing as I always did, but some times Marston won't shoot.
So I managed to win duels with just one shoot, without filling that blue bar.

Try around west Mexico, by the river or Thieves Landing. But overall raccoons are just about everywhere.

Hah cool I didn't think to shoot the hand even tho that one tutorial has you do it. I can't figure out how to shoot with just one shot. I would search some forums but I'm scared of reading spoilers. In my next duel I'm gonna try for the hand and then the hat

If you hit the gun you get 100 fame. If i'm not mistaken when you hit the gun and the hat you get 200. Never made a shot like that though.

once I skinned the last one 8 of the jolly little fuckers were in the field next to me.
next challenge, kill a bear with your knife, oooh cant wait to die 100 times.

At my home the PS3 is used as a stand for my xbox DVD drive. Xbox games are free and run better. The WII is used for nothing. It just sits there and catches dust. Games are free but you can't look at them on a 47 inch LCD.
