Ah, interesting and useful to know for future DLC should anything happen.
(Dragon Age 2 being planned for Q1 or Q2 2011 already or something like that plus ME3 and Bioware also works on their Star Wars MMO so I guess they're busy as is, ME2 is also receiving one new DLC later on.)

So anyone got it running? I get "Unable to Load Module". Shows as installed, no "Unauthorized" text although the icons are not showing, just a gray box.

Well, only offer file DAO_PRC_DRK_O_1.0 is unencrypted. Both Chronicles modules, as well as item modules need proper decrypt key to be playable.

Ahh. I wasn't aware of the decryption process. Some DLC which I downloaded from links in this thread seemed to be straight from EA servers and they installed just fine and played straight up. Were these somehow "pre-decrypted" by someone here on the forums? Cause I didn't install any "keys" or anything into my Original DAO copy other than the DLC I bought from EA and a few from links in this thread.

How does the decryption process work with these, can you explain plz?

Interesting thing is that all 3 encrypted files have modified date of April 29, 2010. Basically were ready all this time but not released to public yet. On the other hand the offer file has been updated on May 17th. Those sneaky devs...

I don't know how it works exactly, but we need key to decrypt it using dedaodrm.exe. There's bat containing several lines like

dedaodrm.exe DAO_PRC_CP_7 76182747

For Darkspawn Chronicles it will look like

dedaodrm.exe DAO_PRC_DRK_EP1 DECRYPT_KEY_HERE

But I don't know process of finding decrypt keys, so we need to wait...

DLC wasn't as interesting as I was hoping. Easy too, just grab up an Ogre, Emissary and Shrieker and you're set.

After getting achievement for completing this mini-campaign, you can get Blightblood sword in either Origins or Awakening, if you installed appropriate module (DAO_PRC_DRK_DAO or DAO_PRC_DRK_EP1).

Dragon Age: Darkspawn Chronicles is now available in XXXXXX. There are 2 versions:
- precracked version
- another version which requires running the decryptor after installation and replacing all RequiresAuthorization="1" with RequiresAuthorization="0" in AddIns.xml

They better not fucking super simplify the rpg aspects of the game like ME2.

Are they by any chance planning a new patch to fix the mess in the basic game patch 1.03 produced?

They better. The game crashed about 10 times in an hour of gameplay of this DLC. Usually when opening the inventory.

Pretty bad way to pack and install release.
They should've made their own dazip, which is pretty easy to do.

Compared to Baldurs Gate or Neverwinter nights they have already super simplified this game.

i almost bought this... but after paying for other dlc and hte expansion i fancied "demo-ing" this... im glad i didnt shell out for it... i mean i love the rest of the addons/main game etc, but fuck me, this dlc is about an hour of play-for about the same price as half the main game (at some retailers at the minute)

£5 here... and although not strictly true.. about that being HALF the full game, there are retailers selling the full game at £14.99.... but it still doesnt equate to value.....even at £20 for the full game, thats say 4 hours at most

i rest my case

15€ for an expansion like Awakening it's OK with me.
Now 5€ or 5£ or even $5 it seems to excessive for one hour of playing.

I'm still waiting for the price to drop down on Awakening.

I bought DA Origins and I must say, it's probably the best RPG I've played. Though, hopefully, they'll release some new patch to fix all the broken side quests and stuff >.< I got like 3-4 side quests that are broken/bugged and I can't finish them.
