can someone delete the (drunkenly) created alpha protocol thread i made?....... and to think.. i *almost* used search, but the game was being talked about more in the pc section
have to say tho..im with sabin...........

I'm surprised at this game..there is nearly ZERO following for it..on the Gamespot/Gamefaqs forums..it's completely dead. I mean I know maybe it's lower budget..lower graphics quality..etc..but it is Obsidian and is a KOTOR2 type game...
Looking forward to it.

This will very likely be a good game, but they pushed it back at least once already.
I was was pretty hyped last October when it was supposed to come out.
But now I'm kinda busy and SMG+RDR came just out, so ppl are focused on them.

It HAS gone gold I confirm that, but yeah it is very odd.
The game has all the boxes ticked but the hype seems underwhelming to say the least.

which is strange, given the devs pedigree.... either way, i have it preordered on steam, but having it on console too (before PC release) would be a bonus, i think its a matter of a day or so, tops before this sucker hits the scene

The first review is in, from Spanish magazine PlayMania (issue 127). The review is that the game is great, scoring a 88 out of a hundred.
Graphics -> 80 - The exteriors are not so bad but the models and their animations are far from perfect.
Sound -> 90 – Appropriate soundtrack.
Diversity -> 89 - Even though it’s the same game, there are many possibilities when it comes to customizing your character and deciding how to play.
Duration -> 90 - The replayability factor is really high. You can play Alpha Protocol a lot of times without experiencing the same adventure.
Overall -> 88 - A spy role playing game that succeeds in blending action with stealth and gives players a high degree of freedom in choosing how they want to proceed.

I guess it's the text and sorta begging/asking "pose" of the picture, either that or Square Enix took over from Sega as the publisher. 
(Meant as a joke, not gotten that many anime influences from what I've seen from the game though I have played FSN via fan-translation, can't compare them like that though unless Alpha Protocol is heavy in mature, darker elements, fantasy and sex, haha.)
Funny that it hasn't leaked yet actually seeing that it's just a few days away from release.
(Says the 27th to 1st checking various sites, understandable that the PC edition isn't out due to the activation system on it and that it might take a while to bypass but a X360 clone should have been out by now seeing that the game has been gold for a while and is arriving in US stores next Week I think it was with the EU release on the 1st.)
Obsidian makes decent games, bit buggy and rushed at times (NWN2, Kotor 2 although that one had various reasons for it.) but support is quite dedicated and gameplay is usually great though the game engine and some visuals elements might feel a bit dated.
(I don't see much of a issue aside from a few animations myself though I don't need top of the line visuals to feel immersed and the game seems like it has a lot of content and replayability for it.)
Looking forward to how they game will turn out once released and how they'll handle Vegas this autumn.

I did a search on 'puzzled faces' under 'cartoons' google images and that's the only one I could find that displayed 'puzzled' on her face.
It had nothing to do with the Japanese people or their art.
There were plenty of photo's of puzzled faces but none seemed remotely suitable.
Tbh, I find hate over a anime picture disturbing.
If it truly offends people then they can report the post.

Who cares? I used to get tons of PS2 games as promo copies from running a local gamestore, and also from a friend who OWNED his own store. Promos are every bit as good as retail, except they generally don't come with manuals or extras.
