Amazing f***** game!
I cheat at poker and still manage to lose  the guys keep getting better hands despite my cheating  assholes, but I'll win someday.
Question: before cracking a safe should I wear a bandanna? I play as the good guy.

Cheating can be too sensitive, it pisses me off I cheat all teh way to a heads up duel with one sucker then he caughts me cheating after I almost had it all  and the arrow was close to the center wasn't that far off.
Obviously the ultimate Western game, only thing is the dueling, Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood did it way better imo when I played that game I thought dueling can't get any better and that still stands.

Really not sure why you all have so many problems with dueling, Just draw after he he has his weapon partially out of the holster, then quickly aim up (further up you aim i think, the faster the duel ends..as both of your weapons are fully drawn so it expects a fire) and hit the gun, or the head..or just unload every shot into the body. I've beaten the game and on my way to 100% and haven't lost a duel. If you want the fame, just hit him in the gun or arm and his gun will go flying off and the duel ends, really only a need for 1 shot.
Edit: This coming from someone who is absolutely terrible at FPS on console..so I know aiming at the arm/gun can't be that difficult because 10 year old's laughed and cussed at me constantly when I played halo 3...Apparently I'm not l33t enough...

I don't have any problems dueling I just think CoJ did it better, dueling is about speed not drilling someone full of holes like you have a Tommy gun.

Lol, Ok I can see that now.. I did not play CoJ, So I suppose that someone who can barely disconcert aiming for the head and hand getting the kill 100% of the time can be a bad thing. But I think that suiting its "gta-ish" playstyle, it fits very well. Yes it is a western game, but I think they also aimed at the same people who played GTAIV, we put in the game..drive around for 2 hours..then turn it off, not needing any further explination of the game.
Strangely enough this is the first rockstar game i have ever finished..including Max Payne, but more meaning the open world GTA Experience.
Edit: Have you tried using the control stick instead of the Trigger for added difficulty? I think this is the realistic shooting way in the settings.

er.. Max Payne is Remedy Max Payne 3 got bought off by Rockstar, that game isn't out yet and it looks disappointing so far.

Never figured it out, you use the RS to pull the gun instead of LT? Any other difference? |

Well max Payne 2 got released on PC by Rockstar..they bought the rights..But I honestly only mentioned max Payne because I learned that in the Remedy biography thing when Alan wake was being released.. I more just meant in reference to the GTA games. I can honestly say I've never done the full duel with just the stick because it seems complicated..as far as I can tell you just hold the stick "up" and it draws the weapon but you control the entire motion..from your hand moving to the cursor moving up. It may present you with more of a challenge / more enjoyment.

Sometimes while I'm waiting for the other guy to draw, since you're supposed to start late..i'll tap the up button a few times to watch my hand move... It's like a cowboy on meth *tweak tweak tweak* *fire 18 shots* Hey i won?
Edit: In the previous post I said holding the stick forward was too complicated...maybe I deserved being insulted by 10 year olds...

I found a ton of beavers on the eastern two trees, basically run around water in the snow covered area, you'll find'm.

Consoles: XBOX 360
PS3 Slim
TV: Samsung 40" OLED.
I will update as I go.
The first thing I noticed was that the DTS sound, fantastic but remember you need the right equipment or you'll not get the voice-overs (unless you drop down your audio settings )
While the second could be viewed as both positive or negative depending on your preference; the PS3 version takes longer to load but once loaded into the cache never refers to the disc till the next chapter.
Graphically I have not noticed any of the negative attributes as put forward by the so-called 'comparison screen shots' on my 40" OLED.
the colour's look vibrant with great detail.
I DID notice some very slight raster artifact's around the brim of a couple of hats and a ladies spectacles but will have to refer back to the 360 to see if it's the same.
The landscape that contains dead grass has approx 15% less of it than the 360 but I feel it is more in keeping with the actual environment (anyone who knows Arizona for example will understand my meaning) 13:16 hrs 22/5/10
A PS3 negative is I noticed that the interaction detection is not so wide as on the 360.
Take for example the 'hitching posts', you need to be right on top of one for the 'hitch' symbol to appear.
I just don't recognize this 'sub par fps', issue, although I have only played three days game time on the PS3 I haven't come across it.
Would someone point out where it happens please?

Uhh, I don't really see the need for this.
Anyways, enjoying the game on my PS3. Would be nice to get rid of all these jaggies though, it's quite extreme. FPS is also sub-par at times. At one time, they textures and meshes hadn't loaded, so all the people were made up of like 10 polygons.

Azzman this debate is really.... dunno how to say it, but well there are people here that have todays two hd consoles, so they want to pick the best version of the named product
and then you see that ps3 runs this game in sub-720p with over saturated image with added blur (ps3 way of AA) with lowered lod distance
looking on the 360 version : it outputs this in razor sharp 720p with 2AA but with a over bright image and faster load times when you install the whole on the hdd
and yes people bitch and mourn about it
when color settings and brightens can be fix with your lcd controls, you can't fix the output of the resolution , the funny thing here is when you sharpen the picture with dynamic contrast and edge detection on your LCDTV the PS3 version looses its fake AA making it look jaggy as hell
