Game has many gameplay flaws, but the story is awesome so far - many choices to be made. I like that.
Although right now i can't beat Marburg. Tried too many fucking times :F

It's very easy to get to the PDA - click select on the 360 pad.

If you mean the suit, you only wear it once throughout the whole game, in a villa in Italy.

Just finished hard with shotgun, smg and sabotage as main skills, and some martial arts thrown in for fun.
It was hard, I don't deny it, but in comparison to my normal run, at least here I had to rely on gadgets.
Boss fights were hardest, especially with the broken shotgun: room sweep does not work on them, if they are attacking you in melee. And when it does work, they pop back up on their feet in less than a second.

What is this "select" you speak of, good sir? |
Hahah I knew that he would have played it at 30fps with the 360 controller

Only fix for me at least. Tried everything, but nothing gets around the dodgy mouse weirdness. So I figured I'd go full on spy, because I didn't want to torture myself by shooting through the game with the pad

I'm playing with the pad as a half stealth half gunsblazing but gunsblazing for the most part, not that I suck at stealth, it's just that being stealthy is a chore in this game and all of it due to mechanical bugs and issues, and the fact that a silenced pistol shot to the head is as effective as throwing a paper ball, the only EFFECTIVE way to play this game is to shoot the fuck out of everyone, it's just much easier and deals with the broken AI and buggy shit quicker so you can hack shit and move on
sure you can get one or two stealthy kills but it's only a matter of time before you're magically spotted and the alarm goes on

I am surprised that so many people have issues with the mouse. Didn't have any the entire playthrough. Apart from the occasional stutter on some level loading, which could mess up you point of view if the mouse was moving while it happened, but that was too rare to affect anything...
Well except for one time where it was very annoying - the final fight where you had to take cover from the minigun. Every time I reloaded, I had a 1-2 second stutter while I was completely exposed... getting to cover fast was way too frustrating.

Let me tell you the truth. We overhyped ourselves.
The game is good fun, but gameplay is not that interesting.
Also, if you want any enjoyment at all, apply the mouse fixes from the get go.

Thats not true i can do entire missions without one alarm and only using takedowns, and 2 or 3 pistol shots, which btw always kill if you aim for the head with a critical, maybe thats what your doing wrong not waiting for the critical shot.

It's overhyped a lot. Here's my mini review:
+ Good storyline, and the way you handle conversations actually has a big effect. Main selling point as far as I'm concerned
+ Each weapon is completely different, but still usable in its own way.
+ Some of the mechanics are quite clever
+ Good concept with regard to the skills and whole structure of the game, including the emails and clearinghouse
+++ Steven Heck. He's a character in the game, and I think it's the best character I've seen in a while
- Some of the mechanics are too clever
- Trippy AI is annoying - sometimes you're spotted even though you're completely behind some boxes, other times you can drop from a ledge right behind them and not be heard
- Terrible bugs ruining the game, most notably the bugged mouse (none of the fixes worked for me)
- ENOUGH WITH THE MINIGAMES ALREADY
- Stealth is not as viable as it should be
- Limited effect of upgraded armour and weapons
All in all I did still enjoy it in the end, but it was not because of the gameplay. The gameplay itself is not particularly engaging. I wanted to play a proper covert operative, but there are bits where I just have to be Rambo because the game wants me to - as an example there's a bit near the end where I jumped over a gap in stealth, which normally doesn't even trigger the AI when unstealthed, but in that situation it ALWAYS does.
On the plus side, Steven Heck is awesome, it's got a good story (think Burn Notice) and that's mostly why I finished it
I do rate it higher than ME2 however, but I absolutely hated that game. ME1 I enjoyed, although I still don't agree that it's the classic many people think it is.

in reality nothing matters.. story is meh. takes you half of the game to get into it.. and in the end, nothing of it matters.. i completed the game , but fuck me it took me almost half the game where i wouldnt quit every 30 mins cuz it was that dull..
all of those pda and intel shit is total nonsense and doesnt matter, whole use intel to negotiate and blackmail , doesnt exist.. you can blackmail once in game, and it doesnt matter if you got intel or not..

Absolutely love the game so far. The story, storytelling, characters, writing, atmosphere, those are all TOP notch. And the amount of choices, things You can do differently, info You can gather, different aproaches... it's really, really astounding. And done in such an unusual setting, too. This is how RPGs should be made.
The action may be a bit sub-par in comparision to say, mass effect 2, true (even though it has some pretty cool idieas of its own), but all those things keep me glued to the screen and wanting more.
Also, i love the way they introduce the characters and keep them important and in the story, without them having to run around with You like idiots which would be totally unsuitable for a spy-themed game. It reminds me of The Witcher, somehow, where You ran alone, yet still felt there was a group of people that mattered around Geralt. Even though in Alpha Protocol it's done in a slightly different way, using tools adequate for the modern setting, like emails, calls etc.
I hope it stays as good as it is until the end.
And honestly, if this game is any indication for how the upcoming FO:New Vegas will turn out, then i believe a new king of the wide-understood genre might be on his post-apocalyptic way.
