the release is the original japanese dub with no subs
but there are already fansubs online, but they are rather difficult to find so here they are

Fuck me sideways, this was awesome beyond belief! It made up for everything 1.11 lacked and then some! All I could do when the credits started rolling was cry. I think there's going to be 4, yes. The next one should come 7-8 months from now, calculate in another 7 or so months for the dvd/bd release and there's your release date..
Don't confuse it for a chick flick man, 65% of 2.22 was non stop action. I personally loved how Shinji and even Rei were a lot more assertive when compared to the original. You can really get a feel how Anno has matured and is completely over his depression now.

It's still there but significantly less so than in the series. It's part of what set NGE aside from the generic mecha genre after all, it showed exactly what would happen if you put a group of fucked up teenagers in giant organic killing machines to fight for things they didn't really care about. NGE was a deconstruction of an entire genre built up over decades, much like The Watchmen was for superhero comics.

Only if you're in Japan, it will only be released to DVD/BluRay in exactly 1 year.
Same with the final movie that is due to be released in about 2 years.
There is also a planned live action movie that should begin production anytime between 2012 and 2015.

3.33 is out. But supposedly it's shit. So shit it makes a bad episode of the series look like a masterpiece in comparison.

I'll reserve judgement until I've seen it.
Maybe people are just pissed because #3 is where the series deviates from the original and all it does is set up #4 which is nothing out of the ordinary.
I think originally 3 and 4 were supposed to come out at the same time so maybe 3 just doesn't stand too well on it's own..
Anyway, not everyone hates it. We shall see!

the series is not as good as it is controversial. If you are new to anime ,then it is kinda bad to start of with this. There is so much psychological shit going on there, and not to mention the "ending" of the series. Guess why we have so many "redo´s" of the ending. First we had the recut of the last 2? episodes, then we had the "End Of Evangelion" movie and now we have this ,and all because ppl were not happy with the original ending.

Yeah. I got the same. I watched the NGE the original one and then some other anime with powersuits and mutating people - very brutal. And the second one was with commentary by the director in which he said he wanted to show the meaning of eternity and eternal love. And the show was mostly about guys ripping apart mutants in most brutal way. That was it, I said 'fuck this shit" and stopped watching anime.
The problem with anime is that japanese people can't express their emotions properly they must resort to some shitty metaphores that even they don't really understands.

I must say i did NOT like 3.33. So much time wasted and lots of shit just left out. Check out the 3.33 preview vids , where the fuck is all that shit and all the shit that happend in 3.33 couldve been done in 15-20min.
