the horrible gameplay and bugs (even with countless patches) killed it for me, but i liked the concept

*bitch slap* Horrible gameplay!? What illicit substances are ye partaking in, sir?? Bugs were pretty bad though, luckily all-but-fixed in Wesp5's lastest stuff -- and especially mega makeovers like Camarilla Edition, which is just sex.

Every game needs Malkavians.

This game was really amazing and I have really nice memories from playing it. Honestly I didn't notice any major bugs with latest unofficial patches and this was 2 or 3 years ago. I think that I will replay it in near future with those nice and shiny improvements.

Yeah, awesome game, I played it at version 1.2, finished it 2 times just fine, encountered some bugs, but ... it was worth it !

Bioware should make a vampire trilogy, after mass effect 2 trilogy has ended. Obsidian should make a more polished Alpha Protocol sequel.

Vampire trilogy from modern day Bioware makes me scary, they will produce a game variant of Twilight: New Moon Very Happy

It was developed by them yes but their gameplay and world was based off of white wolf's universe.

Quote:
Like Activision's Vampire: The Masquerade – Redemption, Bloodlines is set in White Wolf, Inc.'s Vampire: The Masquerade universe also known as the World of Darkness (WoD), but it is not a sequel to the earlier game.

This was probably one of the best games ever created but as above stated, the bugs got bad. The combat could be downright ridiculous at times but I never did try any of the newer custom patches.

Anyones I should start out with?

White Wolf is wholly owned by CCP, so if theres another game, it's because CCP want there to be.
Right now CCP is working on Dust 514 and various expansions for Eve Online.

Seems it happened back in 2006;

Quote:

Merger

On Saturday, 11 November 2006, White Wolf and CCP Games, the Icelandic MMO development company responsible for EVE Online announced it had acquired White Wolf games studio announcing a merger between the two companies during the keynote address at the EVE Online Fanfest 2006.

Kind of Scarface-esque story it had, I enjoyed it and didn't encounter a bug in my first playthrough with a Toreador than tried to play with a Malkavian after a year or so, couldn't progress in downtown sewers, might be my stupidty or it was a game breaking bug, I don't know. But overall it was the game which made me like RPG genre.

There's also the bug that crashed the game after you defeat that anti-vampire boss and try to escape via a boat, you had to use the dev console to get past that point.

Yeah, that's a nasty bug, only (almost) gamebreaking I encountered I think. A reload fixed it. (because it's partially fixed in the unofficial patch)

This game needs an unreal-engine bioware sequel I'm telling you !

I'm replaying Bloodlines right now with the Unofficial Patch 7.0 Plus version and it's still awesome and it's so smooooth now Very Happy It's amazing how Wesp has fixed all those pesky bugs.

I love playing as a Malkavian, the dialogues are both funny and cryptic! Simply brilliant game! Smile

This game and Deus Ex 1 plus Baldur's Gate 2 and Planescape: Torment are truly in a league of their own. Smile

For a fun listening experience, check out this link to hear one of the 5 radio shows from Bloodlines, pretty funny Imho Very Happy

Office Bots attack!!! Very Happy:

EDIT: Forgot to mention the great System Shock 2 Wink

I agree, very very good game (esp. with the latest patches and updates). But you forgot System Shock 2 in that list of league-of-their-own games. Wink
