... meh! Damn this topic. Damn it to hell. I've got HUNDREDS more, hundreds upon hundreds of tracks that I recall with absolute fondness. If I listed every single one of them I'd still be here next month, typiing away. Damn this topic.
That track is amazing! Always loved that one, and one of the related links on YT was a metal cover by Daniel Tidwell, which is brilliant also. He's done tons of other vidgame tracks and I enjoyed them so much, I just bought his album
IMO, while the gameplay wasn't as spot-on as DE1 .. the soundtrack was still magnificent.

I agree mate; SoTN had, arguably, the best OST of the franchise... followed by SC4 and, surprisingly, Lament of Innocence. You know... that woefully underrated PS2 title?

As far as I'm concerned, Konami could do no wrong when it came to the Castlevania soundtracks. Even the GOD FUCKING AWFUL fighting game on the Wii had some brilliant arrangements of classic CV/VK tracks. And yes, I'm well aware I'm a rabid CV fanboy, hehehe.
I'll have to do a proper list, but for now I'll just mention THE soundtrack of NES games:
Journey to Silius
Whereas other NES games have some great single tracks that everyone always remembers (Castlevania 2's Bloody Tears, Contra lvl 1, Megaman 2 Wily stage 1 etc.), Journey to Silius has awesome tracks for every level (the bit at the end doesn't count, don't even remember that so it must've been during end credits only ).
I highly recommend you check all the level tracks separately - the second level's is especially wotenorthy; for a NES song it's pretty damn long, without being repetitive. Great stuff.
Speaking of more recent games, I'd also add Vampire Bloodlines, Freedom Fighters, Hitman, Mafia, Mass Effect, the Witcher and probably many others I can't even remember..
Anyone know any programs that convert spc (snes music files) to mp3/wav ?
Super Jukebox converts to WAV, which you can then convert to whatever format you want... or WinAMP can natively convert any file it can play into any other format too.
