Naw, Sold is a clone of Big Boss/Naked Snake (Naked Snake is a prior codename of Big Boss) He's not his son, just the recombination of DNA. Just like Liquid. |
Hes actually right here, man that has been ages since it got explained to me during 1 of the final fights in MGS1 on psx.
still i stay with the fact that they raped the MGS genre here.
THEY TOOK OUR GAME(play)!!!

You're not wrong there mate, lol. MG has quite possibly THE most fucked up, tangled, impossible and confusing storyline of any game ever.

I'm in the same condition as Leo...
By the way, the trailer looks cool, but the whole "Lightning Bolt Action **cut everythingz " doesn't convince me

I just quote wikia:

we get a true samurai sword cutting game on THE PC
this is GREAT NEWS !!!
tell me how many games like this are on the pc .... none |
Go back to your console. |
Are you honestly using this as an insult talking about MGS? Are you trying to say there's anything PC about those games? Because back at his console is exactly where any real MGS fan would be. And considering you proclaim to be "really big MGS fan" then you better own PS2, PS3 and PSP otherwise you're more like a really big joke. |
i own a PSX and MGS2 on PC original now what.
After PSX i gave up on consoles and moved on to PC.
And im saying that a hack & slash game doesnt belong on PC, MGS is a console game indeed, but worthy enough to be on PC aswell.

1-Loved the first one on the PSX
2-"Meh" at the second one
3-Found the 3rd one unplayable due to retarded forced camera angle that didn't let you see jack shit
Then stopped giving a fuck about the whole franchise...

Nice out-of-context quoting there. You're still wrong. He is NOT the son of Big Boss, he's a CLONE of Big Boss, named as a Son.

Quote: |
David was born in 1972, along with his twin brother, Liquid Snake, as a result of the ninth batch[8] of Les Enfants Terribles, a secret government project designed to create the perfect soldier, using the genes of the "Greatest Warrior of the 20th Century," Big Boss. By utilizing the Super Baby Method, eight clone babies were grown using Big Boss’ DNA merged with eggs taken from a healthy Japanese woman.

http://metalgear.wikia.com/wiki/Les_Enfants_Terribles
Quote: |
Les Enfants Terribles (The Terrible Children), was a project developed in the early 1970s by Zero and carried out by Dr. Clark that aimed to produce clones of Big Boss, the legendary mercenary and a founding member of The Patriots. The name of the project was presumably inspired by the novel and the 1950s film of the same name. Big Boss was sterilized by exposure to nuclear radiation (Caused during the nuclear testing at Bikini Atoll) and, as a result, natural reproduction was not possible.

To be honest, I've never heard of it O.o Is it worth checking out? Does it work with pcsx2 (I can't be bothered to hook up the ps2 just for that right now...)

I ran the original pal disk with pcsx2 and it ran pretty good, it will probably run better with an iso.
But i only fucked about in the beginning so i don't know how stable it is.

Yea Subsistence works well with the emulator. There used to be some kind of internal ps2 clock problem that fucked up the game completely but that's been solved a while ago. It is a bit more demanding than the original though because of the increased draw distance. It also has tons of extra stuff including multiplayer and a movie put together using ingame cutscenes in case you don't really want to play the game.
I myself didn't really like Snake Eater. While the story was a traditionaly entertaining MGS convoluted mess full of pathos, cliches and over the top villains (A 100 year old sniper in a wheelchair - seriously?) the gameplay itself doesn't really work well in the more open environments + i found the camouflage and injury treatment systems to be really bothersome and fiddly.
