You should have carried on as they extended the initial 5 hours by an additional 5 hours until the 7 day beta ended

I played the early beta on a new system and was put off by the driving lag, but having played it again last week it's improved significantly, with was no lag at all.

Wow, usually people complain here about very good games, so I didn't really read the comments. I should have.
I wasn't aware of the beta and missed it, and there's no demo and no pirate single-player campaign so I couldn't try the game before buying as usual. My friend bought it today so I though I might as well, can't be bad with all that hype surrounding the game right? WRONG!
I played 4 straight hours, really trying to find something nice about it but it's just crap piling over crap. You know, the kind of game where most events are done by playing a crappy animation on the player character while waiting for a circular timer bar to fill up. There's actually nothing to do at all in this game except pimping up your character appearance. You can also go in one of the two "action" levels where "missions" pop up randomly always involving stopping players to reach a point or something. There don't seems to be any advancement in the missions or anything, it's just looping around. I just didn't know what to do, what should I aim my goal to be,.. there's nothing.
That's without mentioning performances. I only have 2gb ram and they recommend more, that might explain the long loading and shuttering, but it's not that bad. The fps and network stats are fine, but there's just something else doing a hiccup every second or so making is unbearable. If graphics would be on par with GTA maybe I would understand, but no they are fucking ugly and empty. Transformers levels are like 100x more detailed than this. What's using all that ram after all?
That's a nice 65$ straight in the trash can.

This game is pretty amazing if you play with a couple of other friends, and you're all on vent talking and coordinating with each other.
Too lazy to write up a paragraph. But, if you have like 2-3 friends that also wanna try this game out and you like GTA style games, IMO get the game.
In beta it was just pure awesomeness having a filled up car and just drive-bying the opponents.

ok, brought a key from g2play 
when it wont fit with my concept, i will sell the account on ebay for a cheap price.

The Account creation suxx, had todo it about 5 times till everything went fine.
The Downloader suxx also balls, it loads every file after each other, no big package which intalls then :/ Speed is around 800kb/sec of 1,5MB/sec :/

sabin, hard to decide eh lol, every vid ive seen since release always looks fine lol but I know that I should not go with that idea cause its normaly not correct.. Annoying im off to town in a bit gonna spend the notes on a game but pffft still undecided.. It has potential to be good with all its free roam custom stuff, but I also dont want to drive and run around in a lag fest
failing that we can always just play it to annoy dezzztroyyyy and shit

Im all for playing a game that is not perfect, shit hell ive done that alot over the years, but its more about wether the game has the ability and staff dealing with it to make it better..

i never had a problem in beta with the actually shooting people, seemed to always land on target, it was more the driving lag that i had issues with.. was very ropey at best.. but did they have alot of debug apps in game running ? fucks up performance alot that.. another reason why they had those limited play times maybe..

Huh? I've said that I started noticing lag problems in MoH after playing a while. I've also never said that BC2 doesn't have any problems, AFAIK.
I can say though that I've had no lag problems at all in this game. Driving doesn't feel delayed at all, as long as the ping is <150. I tried downloading some things while playing, making my ping go to about 250, and then I could definately notice a delay.
Still enjoying the game, put about 40 hours into it. Some major balance problems annoy me, but not to the extent that I don't want to play.
Also, enforcerfags are treated like gods in the game. Can't count the number of times I've had to play 1v4. Matchmaking is seriously broken when playing in small groups. Then again, it can be satisfying winning a 2v6 match.

Agreed, its not a bad game but not fully worth the price cuz of too less variation in missions.
For me it would be more of a now and then (i play when i feel like playing it) MMO, and not a fulltime one.

I've read from the official forums than driving/shooting handle much better than in the beta. I didn't see it, but it was probably very awful since it's still is unbearable.
I bought it too fast, my friend who bought it at the same time just re-sold it to someone else because he though it sucked too so I'm stuck alone with this game, which is not helping. Especially that I have only 2gb ram which make things lag like shit. I'll wait a few weeks, hopefully they will patch a bit of the resource usage and add some more gameplay mechanist. If they don't well too bad. I wonder it there's anyone crazy enough to play the whole 50hours and buy some more afterward..

I enjoyed the CONCEPT of the game, but for a twitch shooter - which is basically what the game is - the combat was horrible in the beta .. really laggy and performance was definitely sub-par. How about the driving?
