I don't know if it's called director mode, I mean the replay-thingy, that was the best thing about the first driver game

hm... don' think the guy who did those screens turn up the settings at all.. or its just his card that couldn't support it in the first place... lol..
cuz i'm very sure the graphics for the ps2 and xbox are WAY better than those screens...

he got a geforce 4200 ti thats why it looks like shit !!!

Well he said he was running everything on max.
besides, texture quality doesn't really depend on what gfx card you use if you have them on max, does it?

My tip IF you are going to play it is STAY IN THE CAR ALL THE TIME AND ONLY LEAVE WHEN YOU HAVE TO, the driving isn't that bad, it's no GTA but it's decent. |
gta hasnt good gfx, but its on of the best games ever!

Coming from someone who has had the Xbox version since release and loved the older Driver games only good thing about Driver 3 is the sense of nostalgia that you might get from playing it, might find yourself dusting off the old PSOne or PC versions of the game in an effort to remember what made the series good in the first place.
Honestly cant say any aspect of the game impressed me the graphics and sound were mediocre (no nice OST like in the GTA series), the implementation of the sections where you are on foot just seemed poorly done, the motorbikes and boats added very little to the game, the driving sections were average at best and the actual missions were nothing exciting or new to the genre. There was perhaps one mission where I found myself mildly excited, a mission where you have to escape from a factory depot and whilst you are trying to get out trucks are pulling out trying to block you and guys with uzis are giving chase - I ran over some of the guys and forced one of the trucks to drive off the edge of a port into the ocean before having to ditch my now flaming car for another vehicle then proceeded to play demolition derby with another wave of trucks before escaping from the compound.
Moments like that are few and far between though theres a mission where you have to race through a town not letting your vehicle drop below a certain speed (as seen in the movie speed) or it will explode you would think missions like that would be exciting but they just dont seem to have pulled it off, likewise the story isnt one that I found dragged me into the game and made me want to play it to completion to find out what happens.
Dont get me wrong when it comes out as a fan of the series I'll grab it to see what they have done in the way of improvements with the PC version but in all honestly to make the game better they would have to start from the ground up not just add pixel shaders and high resolutions.

-edit it doesn't look that bad could be the system... the overall game looks nice but the shadows could be so due to the limited system specifications.... wow hahahhahahahah i don't know... same shit happened with that matrix game... wheels looked all square like on some systems and on others they looked lovley
